Looks like he has managed to upset more fans this weekend.

Retire Trev
The item says he is under pressure "after a series of bad performances this Season"
What do they mean THIS year ... its every effin Season I have ever seen him ! Useless
-
When I first saw that useless t**ts name I thought we'd got him at Bury thank god we haven't he's been the worst ref for years imo .
-
As long as he keeps passing his fitness tests (and abides by a certain rule which saw him get a three-month slap on the wrist last season), the likelihood is he'll be around for a little bit longer.
My all-time favourite masterclass of his was when he did Luton vs Bradford and brought the whole town to a standstill because he needed a police escort to escape after giving Bradford a last-gasp penalty (which was scored). I think Kevin Nicholls ended up having to be restrained by the cops as well.
It depends on assessments as well, although I have long concluded that these are something of a farce.
It seems as if it is easier to remove a High Court Judge or an EU Commissioner than a poor referee.

Mr Singh at Chester in the Conference days. One of the worst performances I can remember.

Jim Devine was the worst ever v Yoevil at Belle Vue in the conference

For those who don't remember, it was a performance in the same class as the notorious Mick Russell.
Although I always get the impression with Trevor Kettle that he honestly thinks those present have paid to watch him referee, he hasn't actually done us much damage over the years.
-
If any of you remember Jim Parker then there is just no comparison. He was in a league of his own when it came to bad referees.
-
Very similar to Kettle in that he was a showman who made the game all about him.
We suffered far more at the hands of Parker than we have done with Kettle.
-
Aye, you're right there about Jim Parker from Preston. He was diabolical every time I saw him. I think he owned a car dealership or something. Me and some mates toyed with the idea of going over there and lobbing a brick through the window. He was horrible.
One game at BV he was so bad my normally placid sister threw her cup of tea at him as he went down the tunnel at half time. Mind you it was cold, and when I say tea, it's a stretch.

Kettle completely ruined our match away at Tranmere I think 2006/07 season. Pathetic refereeing that day. He wanted all the attention and got it. Denied us a clear penalty early on if I remember correctly.
