Today’s team
COYR
-
One change in the line up plus no Fej in the squad
-
Hope its an illness and not injury for Fej. I do wonder why Robertson isnt fancied, hes fantastic IMO. Come on Rovers!
-
Glad to not see too many changes, strong starting 11 again but the bench does look weak for attacking subs when u take fej and Taylor out there hope they’re not out too long.
-
Another milestone for copps. Delighted for him.
-
If that Gillingham score stays the same then we have the chance to put 5 points to 7th with a couple of games in hand.
-
3-1 to Gills, presently.
-
Excellent hopefully we can do our bit now
-
If that Gillingham score stays the same then we have the chance to put 5 points to 7th with a couple of games in hand.
We'll have less of that talk , thankyou.

I will tell you at the final whistle.

So much hugging.

Cmon Rovers!! :scarf:
Where's everyone watching from today? It's a cold day up on the north east coast today :cold:

Same here in Wiltshire...sunny, but bl**dy cold!

Warm and sunny Madeira where I now live. How do I change my profile name?
-
1-0

Ditto the southern edge of Gloucestershire
BobG
-
Yessss
-
Second header of the season?
-
That was awesome. I didn't even see Anderson behind Bostock
-
Get in!
(iFollow 2 mins behind as usual)
-
Sunderland 1 up also
-
Goooaaaallll !
-
Get in think it was anderson
-
Get in!!
-
Bostock bossing the midfield again.
-
Amos saying it was a training ground goal that they had been working on.
-
What a great start! You Reds!
-
Cmon Rovers!! :scarf:
Where's everyone watching from today? It's a cold day up on the north east coast today :cold:
A fairly nippy Essex coast.
COYR
-
Amos saying it was a training ground goal that they had been working on.
Makes you wonder what we used to do under he who must not be named time for a rovers 2nd
-
Richards has a right ol' left boot on him. Really good to see shots flying in from outside the box.
-
The Cop chop! I like that.
-
Danny is a breath of fresh air to the commentary game. Good to hear his passion for his team mates and the club, and also freely gives away interesting insights into behind the scenes stuff.
-
Why do refs like just now with pull back on Sims wave the player to him and keep doing it waving as THEY continue following the Player
Blow whistle once... Call player to you.. Give him 10 seconds to arrive and produce Yellow if he doesnt
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
-
Why do refs like just now with pull back on Sims wave the player to him and keep doing it waving as THEY continue following the Player
Blow whistle once... Call player to you.. Give him 10 seconds to arrive and produce Yellow if he doesnt
you're a hard man Wolfie!
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
2 down
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
Now 2 down!
-
This is one of the best versions of Rovers I've seen. Players, squad depth, tactics, passion, skills, lovin it!
-
Awesome move with Halidays shot
-
playing very well - that shot by Haliday would have been cracker!
-
Wednesday down to 10 men
And a goal down
-
Swindon equalize at Accrington
-
Reading 1 up
-
Lincoln 1 up sadly
-
Nothing to do with us but...but Owls are one down...and down to 10 men!
-

Agree... and it should have been Yellow for pulling back anyway AND Reeves has done it a second time with impunity lol
-
Plymouth should've scored there - 3 feet out with an empty net
-
lucky there
-
That by Edwards has to be the miss of the season.
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
2 down
3 down
-
Brilliant by Tom there.
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
Now 2 down!
Now 3 down
-
We competing well all over the pitch but there are definitely opportunities for both sides here
-
Brilliant by Northampton too!
BobG
-
Pompey now 3 down...blimey!
-
Is there an echo in here.....?
-
Sunderland 2 up
-
Plymouth should've scored there - 3 feet out with an empty net
du du du du ******g useless
We would have been singing but not in West Stand... No swearing allowed lol
-
Hull 1 up now as well
-
Plymouth should've scored there - 3 feet out with an empty net
Phew!
-
Brilliant by Tom there.
-
Plymouth look a pretty handy side, we’re playing quite well but wouldn’t surprise me if we end up needing more than just the one goal to win.
-
both teams fizzing here...great game.
-
Richards looking increasingly likely to score.
-
Plymouth looking considerably better than Portsmouth did in midweek.
-
Bostock made his 1st real mistake of the game there
-
Daft booking for Bostock after he lost the ball trying to be a bit too cute.
-
Not watched a live game for a while due to work but I would say this.
Jones distribution is brilliant and an improvement on Ellery. Not just in accuracy but mixing it up short and long....
Also, how good is Bostock? A real grafter and I can see the fans loving him
I think Bogle is doing well too, very intelligent footballer
-
Favourite Album at Fratton Park tonight.
No Jackett Required.
-
What about that touch by Copps.
-
Nothing to do with us but...but Owls are one down...and down to 10 men!
According to Talksport unhappy Wednesday fans already and DM has taken off Bannan who is probably their most creative player to put on a left back.
-
Pompey one down at the Cobblers.
2 down
3 down
4 down
-
Shocking to see the Plymouth players surrounding the ref trying to get Bozzy sent off.

Internet issues meant I couldn’t watch Tuesday night but Bostock & Bogle are as good as I’ve seen them so far. If they keep this up they’ll both be massive players for us between now and the end of the season.
-
Shocking to see the Plymouth players surrounding the ref trying to get Bozzy sent off.
I think he might come off half time which is a shame
-
Shocking to see the Plymouth players surrounding the ref trying to get Bozzy sent off.
was a nothing foul.
-
Shocking to see the Plymouth players surrounding the ref trying to get Bozzy sent off.
I actually thought it looked like a yellow at first viewing, definitely not from the replay - glad the ref didn’t buy it.
-
4-0 Northampton
-
4-0 Northampton
Just had a look at the bbc website to see what is going off there.
Pompey with 67% possession but only one shot.
Amazing scoreline.
-
Our kid just said Jackett will struggle to make it to full time without getting sacked. This is 4 points out of the last 24.
-
top 6 at half time
-
Favourite Album at Fratton Park tonight.
No Jackett Required.
4 nil down at half time
-
Think bostock will stay on, butler will remind him of his duty to remain calm and nothing silly if we go 2 up then maybe bring him off or he runs out of steam say around 65/70 mins
Great 1st half to be honest could be 3-3 but glad it's still us really hope Bogle can get his goal and maybe richards too
Need some other games to get draws like hull lincoln and sunderland
-
Problem is Plymouth will be going all out to get him sent off, it’s not just down to him to control himself.
-
Next game for Pompey is Sunderland.
-
Bostock played well but think butler will bring him off and take no risks, rather bring Robertson on and save bozzy for Tuesday than keep him on and risk him missing Tuesday altogether
-
Alfie has scored again for Cheltenham.
-
Looking quite solid in all areas , don’t see this remaining 1-0 ....far too much attacking from the team that’s winning....maybe we should batten down the hatches now and use Boglue as a battering ram .....
-
Bostock played well but think butler will bring him off and take no risks, rather bring Robertson on and save bozzy for Tuesday than keep him on and risk him missing Tuesday altogether
I would
-
Roberson coming on for bostock
-
Next gial is crucial

Great minds etc
-
2:0
-
2 nil! Bogle
-
Yes!!!
Get in Rovers
-
2-1
-
2-1. Ennis.
-
Next game for Pompey is Sunderland.
Portsmouth 1 Sunderland 0, nice!
-
1 headed goal in 29 games. 2 today.
Love live Butts.
-
High foot from Ennis?
-
Riding our luck at times, they should have equalised there.
-
High foot from Ennis?
I think we've all seen free kicks given for less than that
-
Barnsley doing themselves and Rotherham a favour...1 up v Brum
-
Not a high foot tom was stooping...
We are shocking in defence, we struggle with every ball in to the box, and haven't won one.
-
Mayor is a fine player.
-
Halliday needs to keep his position , he is all over the place and they are exploiting it....
-
This is just a really open game with both sides going for it. Very entertaining.
-
Lincoln 2 up
-
Halliday needs to keep his position , he is all over the place and they are exploiting it....
Sims has been doubling up with Halliday so far but Mayor has moved more inside and is harder to pick up.
-
Mayor is dangerous in front of our box
-
What a save by Jones!
-
Burton beating P'boro
-
Burton 1-0
-
Is Sims playing?
-
We are getting absolutely battered here. Gifting them the ball at times as well.
-
Plymouth on top the last 5/10 mins. We could do with taking back control.
-
We need a 3rd subs will be important
-
Plymouth on top the last 5/10 mins. We could do with taking back control.
Missing a Bostock as a steady influence and experienced head to calm things down.
-
Argh Richards! What a miss!
-
Down side to richards not having a right foot
-
Burton 2-0
-
Living dangerously here
-
Should have scored rovers just hit it
-
What a game this is. End to end. Really enjoying it.
-
Argh Richards! What a miss!
he just needed to tap it in! :crying:
-
Too open this. We need to start managing the game better.
-
We need to score next
-
We need to score next
Conversely
They shouldn't score next
-
I'd be happy with no more goals, but don't think it's going to stay this score
-
Reading 2 up
-
According to the BBC (never knowingly right of course) we've only had 44% possession.
BobG
-
We need to score next
Conversely

Sure I'd take a 2-1 win but dunno just have a feeling they will get back into it
-
Coops off jason on
-
And Plymouth have had 3 times as many corners as us and more shots too.
BoibG
-
I’d take Richards off, not offered much this half. Everything is coming down the left wing, Halliday needs more help.
-
It might just be when they play us but Plymouth are again looking one of the best teams in the league
-
According to the BBC (never knowingly right of course) we've only had 44% possession.
BobG
I’m very surprised we’ve got as much as that. Been pretty much all Plymouth this half.
-
Why is Brad allowing Mayor on to his right foot every time? Show him down the line. He is looking to cut inside every single time.
-
Pity they haven't taken Mayor off
-
Plymouth take 3 off hopefully makes them a bit disjointed
-

BobG
That sounds about right.
-
Why is Brad allowing Mayor on to his right foot every time? Show him down the line. He is looking to cut inside every single time.
Probably because Mayor is stronger on his left foot.
-
they've definitely had more chances than us. They look a bit nervy defending to me though - we need to run at them in a box, I'm sure they'll give away a peno
-
that foul by ennis is a yellow all day long - professional foul on edge of our box stopping us breaking
-
I love how excited Danny gets
-
Being tore a proper new at min do well to hold on
-
My 84 year old mum could knock Lokilo off the ball...he’s bloody lightweight in a game were we need some physicality .....AJ Greaves should be on ....my opinion only
-
I'd put Greaves on for Richards
-

Sims has been very quiet this afternoon
-
Why is Brad allowing Mayor on to his right foot every time? Show him down the line. He is looking to cut inside every single time.
Probably because Mayor is stronger on his left foot.
Well we are not dealing particularly well with him cutting inside at every opportunity. I know as a defender I would much prefer him running down the line away from goal rather than cutting inside and causing us problems. Maybe it’s just a case of Halliday getting tighter.
-

Mayor’s right footed.
-
Entertaining game for the neutral this.
Unfortunately. I'm not neutral.
-

Mayor’s right footed.
I don’t think he has problem using either of them.

Mayor’s right footed.

Certainly has a decent left foot but he’s stronger on his right.
-
2 more changes for them, last throw of the dice.
-
Entertaining game for the neutral this.
Unfortunately. I'm not neutral.
Me neither, vaya...at the moment I can hardly bear to watch!
-
Sims has been very quiet this afternoon
Cue Sims scoring soon!
-
Richards ... unbelievable ! What a miss
-
Richards has missed another
-
Brilliant play by Robertson.
Richards should have finished that.
-
Richards clean through and sends it wide of the far post. Just hasn’t been his day really. Fantastic turn and pass from Robertson.
-
Roberston has potential to be a really good player, has a real eye for the right pass
-
I think you will find that on more than one occasion Robertson seems to pass without pace....he is accurate but you have to wait for the ball to get to feet....
-
Shout out for bogle today running his nuts off up front again
-
big opportunity for Gomez there!
-
big opportunity for Gomez there!
Fantastic block to stop him though.
-
Shout out for bogle today running his nuts off up front again
MOTM for me.
-
gonna be frantic stoppage time
+4 mins
-
Shout out for bogle today running his nuts off up front again
Outstanding today.
-
4 minutes seems excessive
-
phew , getting stressed here
-
Bogle playing out this extra time well. 1 min to go.
-
FT
-
Lokilo has done well
-
What a game!
-
BBC is saying 38 shots between the 2 sides. That's a lot...
BobG
-
phew , getting stressed here
I’ve been stressed since Argyle scored, foxbat!
-
2-1 FT
:scarf:
-
Plymouth were very good, and 38 shots is probably about right!
-
Really good to see two sides going for it.
Great game to watch and another good win.
COYR.
-
well done Andy Butler , 2 straight wins to keep us well in the promotion mix
-
Phew ! Glad that's over
-
Great result! You Reds!
:woohoo:
-
Get in! The lads dug deep there. Great win
-
Good game
Great 3 points!
-
Ipswich v Lincoln..... posh v hull....pompey v Sunderland...midweek
-
Lokilo has been outstanding for a few matches now - not sure what glasses you have on Sha66y!
Good win, average performance - they were slightly better an unfortunate not to come away with a point. Gotta love it when that happens, just don't like watching it
-
And Peterbro lost.
-
BBC is saying 38 shots between the 2 sides. That's a lot...
BobG
It could easily have been a 5-5 draw with better finishing from both sides
-
Get in!!! Would love Mayor in our team.
-
Danny Amos at the end, "Yooooooou reds" :scarf:
-
I was clenching the setee there! 3points won there off a very good Plymouth team. Good game.
-
And Reading won 3-0.
-
Why is Brad allowing Mayor on to his right foot every time? Show him down the line. He is looking to cut inside every single time.
He was getting no help until Lokilo came on
-

He was getting help when Sims was on the right.
-
A good win today, soaked up a lot of pressure in the second half. The defence was outstanding, could/should have had more in the closing minutes. But a valuable 3 points. On to a big game against a good Crewe side on Tuesday.
Onwards and upwards
COYR
-
Well done andy butler. Don’t know how we won that but it’s a massive 3 points considering results around us. Plymouth are the best side we’ve played all season.
Joe Wright MOTM for me unreal all game at the back and comfortable on the ball.
Win again on Tuesday and we are back in the mix for automatics with 6 out of the top 8 playing each other again and we’ve played most of them twice.
-
My 84 year old mum could knock Lokilo off the ball...he’s bloody lightweight in a game were we need some physicality .....AJ Greaves should be on ....my opinion only
Helped massivley down our right when he came on
-
Wednesday bang average, down to 10 men and have lost 3 - 0. Darren has his work cut out to keep them up!
-
Worked hard for that win. Plymouth are a good side. Some lovely stuff. Mayor is excellent.
We did enough. Perfect start for Butts.
-
Quite impressed with Plymouth today, one of the best sides we've played this season. Really good movement up front with Mayor pulling the strings. Three hard earned and valuable points for us today
-
Best team we have played all season. We certainly missed Bostock in the second half.
-
My 84 year old mum could knock Lokilo off the ball...he’s bloody lightweight in a game were we need some physicality .....AJ Greaves should be on ....my opinion only
Harsh that. He did brilliantly in added time down in the corner took a least a minute and a half of the time.
-
Maybe his 84 year old mum is six feet six tall and weighs in at 200 pounds.
Just a thought.
-
I remember people calling Copps a lightweight when he first came here.
-
Don’t know how lokilo can be slated for today when he came on he was quality at tracking back winning the ball and showed his physicality holding off 2 men in the corner for the last few mins
-
Lokilo stopped Mayor from being as influential has he had for most of the match, not sure why anyone would slate him
-
Wednesday bang average, down to 10 men and have lost 3 - 0. Darren has his work cut out to keep them up!
I strongly suspect he was brought in to get them promoted next season, not keep them up
-

Surely for him it would have been better to try and get us up, a promotion and a whole season in the Championship is better than a relegation and a whole squad rebuild in League One.

Is she Sheriff Fatman
-
What did Butler say after the game was it
JASON came on and ran around a lot?
