Manager stats don't show anything useful, not in any way.

Slightly sweeping, but I think I understand what you're saying.

I'd be interested if anyone can show me the use of them. Whilst you're at it, maybe include the list of other variables that effect win/lose/draw apart from manager.

Yes it's very basic, but it clearly shows how successful he's been at getting points.

And that is useful for what purpose?

Looking at those stats by the time he reaches 141 games for us he would have lost approx 70 odd games and won 40. We have a squad capable of top half. He's not getting the best out of them. Bring back Sean. At least we were always in games.

Stats don't lie. We were warned by Oldham fans about this. I'm convinced football management is not for him. It's not for everyone. He's a TV pundit at best, that's it.

I recall Oldham fans telling us that Wellenscwas a waste of space when we bought him in 2006

Any chance you can give me the stats for games won when Coppinger, Bennett and Forrester start together? And just Coppinger and Bennett? Also number of games the 4 attacking players have scored in?

What about when we signed him on a free in 2007?

Always? Ipswich 6 goal thriller at KMS?

5-1 demolition away at Leicester too. And Wolves in the cup. Marvellous away displays, them.

I'm a stickler for facts when they are germane to the issue being discussed.

Insisting on accuracy over incidental and non-essential points smacks of point-making pedantry.

Stats tell you black and white the record, but don't take in to account reasons for losses,Dickov has consistently now shown he can't get a team playing well and getting results on a regular basis.
Teams under his leadership remind me of someone trying to walk on pine cones in bare feet, you might hit firm ground now and again, but more often than not you will be rolling in different directions with no control.

Mid table teams aren't consistent. That's why they are mid table. We aren't considtent enough because we don't have players good enough to win every week. The squad is too small and we are carrying too many moderate players.

Sammy Chung, you are always claiming to be a bit of a judge when it comes to players, surely you can see that we have too many that just are no good. Especially at the back.

Other people remark on me judging players,i have never said i'm the Oracle or anything, yes i do notice at the back Gaz.
Wabara is not developing as quick as i thought he would, but i would hold onto him,at the moment he's average.
Evina seems a little weak, very quick but makes a lot of errors, but still should be good enough to do well in this league.
Jones and McCombe are not good enough,McCullough's development is being damaged because he's playing alongside struggling players, but he has good potential.
We are very reliant on our wingers, who as a position wingers don't produce consistently every week,Bennett has been the most consistent, but we have never solved the player just behind the forwards.

In this league, you can win it with seven solid players and four players of quality to alternate producing the wins for you,we proved it in the promotion season.
We have a below average defence,an unconvincing keeper who has improved slightly.
We have a midfield that has yet to form a partnership, players don't know what's expected of them,Furman seems to do defending or attacking well,Wellens has gone.
Keegan the same,Bennett looks good,Coppinger inconsistent but a genius on his day,and Forrester is potentially the best of the lot,but we have hardly seen him through immaturity.

Robinson should be destroying these defences, but the manager has ruined his confidence,Tyson has been good, not consistent, but another who should find this league easier.
Main is potentially the best of the strikers, good attitude, tough player, holds onto the ball and can finish, but got injured which has hurt us,because him up front would give us greater consistency.
Overall some of the team is top four material, dare i say it champions, the rest isn't consistent enough to support the rest,Dickov signed these players for me the buck stops with him, plus a little with the board for not giving enough to cover at least another four players.
