New Tim Ryan.
« on July 19, 2017, 10:35:59 am by ZiggerZagger »
Got to say I watched Danny Andrews last night and was very impressed. Not afraid to stick a foot in, can read the game, doesn't get bullied, likes to play it forward. The things I didn't realise about him until last night, is that when he takes a throw near their goal, he can put it into the 6yard box. The other thing is, what a strike he's got. Last night every time he crossed the halfway line there were fans shouting shoot. Could he become the new fans favourite.

yes I was very impressed with him (including a good head back to the goalie something you see at top level)yand with a shot like that he could be the reserve penalty taker after manderville  as well as worth a bet to score in matches

"New Tim Ryan" - I also said this to my mate last night.

Looks like a very good signing. Great delivery in play and from set pieces, a long through and a good defender.

There's got to be something wrong with him?!

Don't worry, now he's signed for us his good delivery will soon vanish.

Cracking left foot on him.

Wonder if he will be on pens after our abysmal record last year?

Julian Dicks, Leighton Baines, David Unsworth all had pretty successful records.

If that isn't a joke it is a pathetic comment.

Except that the comment is aimed at Copps, not Danny Andrew.

Of course it's a joke! Just tongue in cheek!'

Copps hasn't ever exactly had the most consistent set pieces but he's brilliant at everything else.

You've never seen Copps' hatrick wonder goal in the playoff semi-final then chrisd...

I'm sure he has but hasn't seen much else from set pieces in over 10 years, hence the consistency comment!

It is still a myth that Copps isn't good at free kicks and corners.
We have a joke about this every time Copps gets a ball into the box, commenting that he beat the first man, as the mythical saying goes.
More often than not he gets the ball into the right areas.
Also, he has become good at shooting direct from free kicks, I recall quite a few great saves by keepers from his attempts just last season and at least one spectacular goal from 25 yards.
