Does it go in the rumour mill even if it comes from a journalist?

If true, probably a cost-cutting measure for them. Bit like us and Copps over the summer, I'd imagine.

It goes in the rumour mill if it's a rumour. Which this is. Hopefully be moved soon enough though.

Not a name I was expecting really, don't know owt about him either. Wasn't he on their bench for the cup tie?

Very strange move for them, surely they are wanting to stay in League 1. I can only think loaning him free's up money for a few necessary loanees.

He was brilliant for SA, their player of the tournament. Sat in front of the back 4, put in tackles, put himself about and just played the simple pass. However, I don't see why we would need another defensive midfielder.

Because Tubbs and Pointer are shit I would imagine.

Keegan's come back from injury and Lundstram has signed.

He doesn't say he is going to sign, on Twitter.

What he says on Twitter is that we are "tracking him"....incidentally suggesting we should read the Free Press (out on sale tomorrow would you believe!) to find out more.

Lundstram isn't a defensive mid and Keegan can't do it on his own, as for the thread there seems little point in moving it if it's in the DFP tomorrow.

If this gets confirmed then it looks a good move. I watched a full half of one of SA games in Africas Cup and he looked decent. Then when he came on for Oldham v Everton he helped them link the back to the front to get a foothold in the game that led to them having a good last 10 mins.

Now I don't believe this for a second.

How anybody could sit through that is beyond me.

Saw him a lot when he played for Bradford on loan from Rangers - got Goal of season a couple of years ago and not afraid to get stuck in though picks up a lot of bookings. Would be a decent signing apart from this

hahaha I used to go with a friend when we weren't playing or playing too far away. I loved going to Valley Parade - would be overjoyed if they won on Sunday

Because we have only got one and he is not totally fit. The other two are not good enough to be in the starting eleven, one points all the time the other can pass a bit but cannot run more than 5 yards without getting tackled.

Agree with the above comments re Furman playing for S/A, I thought he did well in midfield breaking play up and not afraid to get a foot in.
Played great in front of the back 4, and always on hand to provide cover.  Like Wellens I thought. Be a good signing if it comes off. I liked him.

Nice to see Quentin Fortune as one of the pundits.

Maybe the VSC could sponsor a set of hooped paddles for him and pay for a day's course down at the airport with the groundcrew.

Furman's contract expires June 2013......... perhaps on loan with a view to a permanent move?
