Whereas BB ALWAYS presents both sides of an argument, he's NEVER one-sided!!

Of course, that's when he bothers to put any argument at all and isn't just posting to be insulting.

There are actually THREE sides to an argument.
1) Your side
2) My side
3) The right side

I win 2-1.

I'm no lover of Trump or the so called GOP and I'd hardly be giving The Democrats any ringing endorsements either , both parties fail the American population consistently .

However since when did the FBI suddenly become the stand up organisation and built on the pillars of justice ? .

An organisation probably responsible for the murders of Malcolm X and MLK to weaken civil rights movements .

A history of union busting and the persecution of socialists and liberals .

I understand Trump has had in his possession these documents for 12 months , that's right 12 months .

If these documents were so classified and sensitive then how come it's taken the FBI 12 months to seize them .

It's absurd .

This is a country by the way that won't even tell It's citizens who was behind the murder of It's own President nearly 60 years ago .

The whole political system in the US is corrupt from top to bottom irrespective of who holds power and has been since the very beginning , even good guy JFK had the 1960 election fixed for him .

''Details of the Mar-a-Lago raid are still emerging and, as it stands, there are still a lot more questions than answers. One of the biggest questions being: who snitched? Trump’s former personal lawyer and fixer Michael Cohen reckons it was definitely a member of the former president’s circle. Speaking to Insider on Thursday, Cohen said that he “would not be surprised to find out [the informant] is Jared or one of his children … Who else would know about the existence of a safe and the specific contents kept inside?”''

They've been asking for them for 18 months. Because Trump kept pratting them about, (he should have handed them over with the 15 palletsful of documents he handed back in January) hence the Search Warrant - that has to have shown Probable Cause of a crime for an independent judge to sign - and then the raid on Mar-A-Lago.

Do keep up. But given the number of ridiculous conspiracy theories you've just quoted in one post I think I'm wasting my breath.

Meanwhile... Florida Republicans.

https://mobile.twitter.com/mfstern/status/1560961621081686018

He's a British immigrant to the USA. (used to play as keeper for Brighton and Southampton). And he's there making not very veiled threats about the fact that the police officer is an immigrant.

When I first watched that, I was convinced he was going to follow up "Do you know who I am?" with "I'm Ronnie Pickering!"

Apparently this is a genuine photo of what the FBI found on the floor at Mar a Lago.

Any wonder Putin wanted him in the White House?

The FBI didn't find them like that, they arranged them on the floor for the photograph.

Mind you, as Trump was blabbing about what he had about Macron, it makes you wonder how many of our British secrets he had just lying around Mar-A-Lago, or couldn't help boasting about.

Nah, they were on the scanner and emailed to the Kremlin.

Still the thought of him having TS-SCI documents at his home, when he's just a private citizen! Beyond belief. That would be a 10-20 year stretch minimum for any normal transgressor.

It was, and is, a sackable and prosecutable offence to even have a mobile phone in the same building as UK secrets protected by the  more serious Section of the Official Secrets Acts. I can never remember if its Section 1 ir Section 2 that's the serious one, but whichever it is, if any of those papers on the floor of Trump's pad fall under the O.S. Acts then he could be, ought to be, but won't be  locked up under their terms if he ever again sets foot in UK jurisdiction.

BobG

PS How does TS-SCI fit in with SC, DV and DV strap 1, strap 2 and strap 3? Is TS etc a US classification? I thought I knew the UK classifications being subject to them, but I confess I'd never heard of TS etc until 10 minutes ago.

TS is Top Secret

SCI is Sensitive Compartmented Information which is required to have additional controls over storage and access, over and above those used for Top Secret documents.

Basically he's walked off with a bunch of documents whose release would have potentially serious consequences for US security.

The question of why he did that and what he may have done with the documents - who he may have shared them with - is very important for US security. But it's irrelevant to his legal position. The fact that he has them at all means he should be facing an absolute minimum of 10 years in jail.

Are they a part of a US classification system?
