As a side issue, Ashly Cole is now injured for 3 months minimum.

As the World Cup looms, it is quite possible that Wayne Bridge may be drafted as left back, if Cashley Cole isnt fit.

When you think about it, we're hardly flush with left backs, which is the only reason why Bridge is still considered as a contender for England. I doubt he's in the top 30 English players (in terms of pure ability) but he can play in that rather specialised position.

I suspect Capello may decide to have a look at Leighton Baines from Everton in the forthcoming friendly, hence avoiding a Terry/ Bridge confrontation for as long as possible.
