Surprising he’s dropped sadlier
Looks like we’re set up to soak up their pressure and hit them on the break

Gomes back on the bench too with Amos added.

If things need changing though we have some quality to bring on.

the opposite actually, DM was bigging up the fact the for the next 5 weeks we are only playing 1 game a week. No mid week games, so loads of training pitch work could be done..   which in itself was strange for DM to highlight as he had been at pains in recent interviews to point out that we were playing every 3 days till the end of the season, even saying we should check the calendar if we dont believe him..   such mixed messages....

A little bit surprised with the line up, but DM is full of surprises. Let's hope the plan works.

He is setting up teams to either neutralise specific threats or create specific problems for the opposition. The players must have been sold this and taken it on, If I was Sadlier I would be glad I am not playing today!

Not sure Ennis works best on the wing, and suprised Blair starts of Taylor/Sadlier. But I know nowt.

Donny fans on the most protected side of the ground. The wind is blowing straight across the pitch into the bigger stand on the side, no doubt some swirly effects from it too. Some solid rain forecast there throughout the game.

Very difficult to tell. Seemed more like both players backpeddling, arms being used for balance but then sweeping out and happened to catch the Gills player who was always behind. Could have been some intention in that but looked more accidental.

Not the best angle to see. The ball is played long by Whiteman and Okenabirhie jumps into the man with his arms high but you can't really see if there was much contact or if it was deliberate from the camera as it's on the opposite side of the pitch. It was right in front of our bench though so Moore will know.

I’ve watched it several times and there seems to be some contact but it wasn’t an intentional elbow into their defender. I think their guy makes a meal of it and, of course, their bench go mental.

And for Christ's sake, this ref! That one before the sending off. Clash on the half way line. Same defender goes down like he's been shot. Sheaf clear through on goal. Ref blows up for a head injury. Then restarts by giving the f**king ball back to their keeper!

Would not be surprised if the Evans/Raynor antics got Fejiri sent off. Apparently ref referred to 4th official who was being berated by them.

Hoden inferring a couple of more incidents where Evans/Raynor appear to be influencing the officials.

Not over yet this game. We just need to be smart and patient.

Slo mo vid of red card incident. Right arm definitely hits the Gills player, but I suspect over reaction. Always going to be a red though for dangerous play even if not clearly intentional, which it could have been in so far as he was using his body, but never in a "I'm going to wack this guy with my elbow" intention.

Hook him and risk destroying his confidence or stick with him and risk getting him sent off?

Apologies for the language but it’s not about just having a different opinion ..

If there were 4-5 games left then your “playoffs gone” argument holds weight.  with this many games still left it’s all to play for..

It’s the “head in the sand” comment that I dont like -you go on about different opinions yet mine means I have my head in the sand.?  That is why you can do one..

From the video clip earlier in thread I agree, Fej was clearly off balance.

I noticed we committed 10 fouls to their 14 - we got 4 yellows and a straight red, they got 2 yellows. I know that is not impossible - you have to see all the fouls individually, but also there was the incident where Sheaf was through and the ref stopped the game and gave them the ball back, so it looks like one of those days when we don't get any rub of the green. It happens. We have been and will be lucky ourselves sometimes.

I believe the original insult was about me talking ‘arse gravy’. It isn’t though is it. Go away and work out how many games we need to win over the remaining matches, factoring in what the others above us are likely to get. Then come back and tell me I’m talking arse gravy.

Even if we win 9 and draw 1 from the last 13 that’s only going to give us 76 points. Look at what the other teams are already on.

But, I’m talking shite so what do I know
Title: Re: Gills v Rovers

I’m not saying it is easy not a challenge but simply it’s not impossible, which your first post “play offs gone” did..

Now had you said “it’s just got harder to finish 6th” then that would make sense.. “play offs gone” with 13 games to go is quite frankly ridiculous..

I hope the players and management team don’t think like you.
