Thought it was Mickey French who was dubbed the new Peter Kitchen?

Mickey French arrived the following summer (1978). Chris Jones wasn't up to it and this was illustrated by Rovers netting just three league goals in their opening five matches. Subsequently Dick Habbin was signed from Rotherham who was a better option than Jones but never anywhere as good as Kitchen.

Billy Bremner shipped Habbin out as soon as he could at the end of his first season in charge didn't he?

He did Bob, along with many others, he wasn't at all impressed with what he inherited.
