Why won’t Stammer agree to Six Debates, he only dare agree to two?

Did you complain when Johnson wouldn’t do debates?

Same old shtick stick form sprot!

Not just that, they're considering raising them.  Amazing how all your grumbles can disappear when it becomes real isn't it?

It's been quite unreal for the previous 14+ years pud but it never stopped you from voting for them, aye?

Surprised nobody has mentioned Adebayo Akinfenwa. He was always a thorn in our side after leaving us.

Kudos to winning their first European trophy last night and ending a season long uneaten run for Leverkusen instyle.

This got me thinking how big are they as a club compared to us

Seems not much. Obviously they are doing well in the top tier and we're not at our best in the 4th tier but average attendance wise to last year we are c.7k they are c.14k

As a city their population is 120k to our 300k.

So just shows the untapped potential we may have, with twice the attendance for half the population. So if we had an equivalent following we'd be at 28k

The fortunes of clubs according to local population and / or crowd sizes hasn't been relevant for quite a while now. Take the crowd sizes and success of AFC Bournemouth and Bradford City, for example.

Atalanta also seem to be owned by Antonio Percassi (worth: $1.6bn) and Stephen Pagliuca (worth: $4.9bn).

The last thing Labour should be looking to prioritise is anything to do with Brexit right after the election. That's all for another day(year)

People will want to see the early shoots of recovery from a torrid period that many have had to endure, big ticket items that will just cost taxpayers more will not be welcomed. They need to be smart and think even smarter.

Things like restructuring health and social care so people can see things like waiting lists coming down and better responses to social care, should be achievable relatively soon.

If they could get the teaching profession to work with them to raise standards all around, this would be a massive boost to a large number of younger people who are growing up in a time of massive change all around them. Education is a precursor to a great many things in society and it needs to evolve in the correct direction. Too many kids leaving education not ready for the real world that has suddenly hit them, some financial and budgeting lessons and advice for leavers would not go amiss.

An attempt to fix the housing market so young people can hope to be able to get on the housing ladder should feature large.

Some restructuring as to how local council's achieve their legal requirements needs drastic action. If they're to be presented with a larger devolved budget then the whole structure of the means to distribute this needs attention, far too many councils are failing in their duties, not just through a lack of budget but with incompetent management, needs urgent attention.

Basically don't hit the ground with big demands of more of taxpayers money, that will go down like a lead balloon. Needs to see some smarts from them.

Nationalise

Yep, the old saying coming your way from the far left, nationalise the debt and privatise the profit

Your hero, Keith, wants public ownership doesn't he?

Oh sorry, I keep forgetting. That was just for the Labour leadership.
One of the water companies down south can't remember the name of the company.

Just let it go bankrupt and bring it back into public hands instead of the taxpayer bailing it out.

Cannot believe that in this day and age customers having to boil their water and having to hand out bottled water.

Just let it go bankrupt.....  How does that work? You do realise that when a company becomes insolvent there is a huge amount of cost to pay, you can't just ignore the debt.

How many on that list have also scored against us? Off the top of my head:

Ross McCormack
James Hayter
Mo Faal
Alfie May and Billy Sharp have I think. Andy Williams maybe? Can't remember Marquis ever getting one against us, always seems to have a stinker.

Marquis definitely scored against us for Pompey during lockdown.

There are quite a few others... Chris Brown scored against us for Preston, Theo Robinson for Derby, Danny Andrew for Fleetwood, Kieran Agard for Bristol City, JET (x2) for Bristol City in the cup, Macheda for Birmingham, Jason Price (hat-trick) against us for Hull, Matt Mills for Reading, Mark Duffy for Scunthorpe, Jonson Clarke-Harris for Bristol Rovers, Tyler Smith for Bradford.

And...believe it or not... Joe Dodoo for Bolton.

There may be more, but those were the ones that I found.

Great quiz as well.

Marquis scored a 90th minute goal for Portsmouth in a 2-1 defeat for Portsmouth at the Keepmoat on 2 March 2021. Reece James and Fejiri scored for us.
