Let’s hope Copps doesn’t slow the play down and he gets back to near his best and gets some creativity and maybe an odd assist.

Just seen John on the 'live' prematch show and thought he must be injured but notice he is on the bench.

So the rotation continues.

Just seen that they have Paul Caddis who I think scored that pen that sent us down from the championship last time?

Also Grant who normally plays well against us is on the bench with Tyler Smith who we had on loan from Blades?

Stumbled across that last time. Ignored it. Just go to matches and it should come up with the Swindon game. Pick 'Watch now' and it should then prompt you with the payment screen.

He got the last minute goal for Birmingham at Bolton which sent us down , i think it was an header.
David Nugent scored the penalty that sent us down away at Leicester.

And right on queue, the screen plays, then after 5 seconds when the play/pause icon fades from the screen it goes black.  I can get it back nmny tapping the screen? But there's a huge icon in the middle of the screen.  Brilliant,   mad thing is, my tablet screen is still on, its not like it timed out or anything... Gggrr.

Just got to be patient here while not firing on all cylinders yet. Do the  basics well.

Amos always seems to always check back. Would like to see him run on now and again.

We might have had a goal in those last couple of minutes before the break.
A couple of very good saves by their keeper.

After the Lord Mayors show, poor first half, we’re missing Taylor Richards high press

When you look at their number 5 and 45, Swindon probably think they have Grounds for Hope of getting something out of this game  :chair: :chair:

It only him but every time he plays the pace of the game is slower. But he’d nearly scored at the end. ( story of his career in league 1 )

Hull all square; Lincoln and Sunderland both losing at half time.

Too slow I'm afraid, and gives the ball away.

He takes longer to get into the pace of the game unsurprisingly. First 15 he was 1/2 second slower in his speed of thought.

Don't write him off just yet.
Title: Re: TLOD V Swindon
Post by: Alan Southstand on December 15, 2020, 07:56:20 pm
I would add that it’s a similar story when Amos plays, as he doesn’t have the pace of James or John.

DM will have to be careful how he shuffles his pack.

We don't want to rush things or they will pick us off. Similar with Wigan game. Be patient.
Title: Re: TLOD V Swindon
Post by: TheFunk on December 15, 2020, 08:01:22 pm
Halliday, Smith and Whiteman have all given the ball away more than Copps. You can move the ball as quick as you want but if nobody is moving to receive it what's the point.

Could have easily been a red card for that foul on Copps,..  we should be targeting their LB with strong runs..

Equally it could prevent him going elsewhere but back to us after recovery - assuming that’s before the window closes..

With the table as it stands should we and Charlton win one game in hand each, and Accrington take 4 points from two games, that would leave the top eight sides all on 32-34 points, with us on 33.  It’s really close, so a string of wins even with performances below our best, would put us in a really strong position..

According to the BBC table
We are the most in-form team in the division with 4 wins out of the last 5 games
