He should have been signed up a year ago. Absolute farce if true, he's one of our best players. We should have had the OOC players signed up long before now.

It's a sorry state of affairs if he's choosing to go to Blackburn. Speaks volumes about our situation at the moment

James Husband will be a better player off of the back of this, regardless of the takeover rubbish we desperately need a few players in before saturday.

Good luck to him, this is what I said about him on another thread the other day:
Quote
I thought Tommy was one of the unsung heroes of last season and one of the few players who remained at the club and in the team following relegation. I think his loyalty and professionalism deserves three years (or two with the option of a third).

If he's fed up of waiting and wants a pay rise then I don't blame him for moving on in the slightest.

He's a bigger loss to us than he is gain for Blackburn.

Another example of Rovers

He will be but we need someone who is good now.

I really don't get why it's taking so long to sign players it's never been like this before

Thats horrific news, it tells me that the take over/ investment has fell through. Should have signed up months ago.
Starting to right this season off

No problem with Evan and James stepping up. The problem here is we're letting one of our best players leave for nothing. It's a joke and this should have been sorted months ago.

There IS something that could have been done! That is give him a contract weeks ago!
We are allowed to be dissapointed! he was a KEY player last season

Do people actually think that PD or JR just sit in their offices not offering contracts and hoping.

They will have offered contracts to everyone, agents will then get involved and delay the process.

If Quinn and Wakefield signed their contracts its clear that delays werent due to DRFC or investment talks.

Asking people not to get annoyed about this is like asking them not to celebrate too much at brentford. Its a Joke situation if true.

Maybe the take over is happening and the club have decided for the wages involved, we have a better option than Tommy lined up. Not sure I actually believe that's the reason.  Just grasping at positive straws at the moment!
