Another unproven player. We'll just have to wait and see how he goes.

I love how Dickov started off by saying in his interviews how he's looking to bring in "proven championship quality players". He hasn't done anything of the sort yet. Starting to look a right Marcello Trotta.

Hasn't he played (and scored) in the World Cup?

You cannot blame Dickov he as arrived in the same situation he had  at Oldham. Owners promising funds yet not supplying them on time. If we lose Spurr that shows that the three owners cannot or will not compete or stabilise our club in the championship. We needed the deal to sign our best players and as yet we have failed.

He's not proven in the championship on a regular basis. The Greek league is not as good as the championship and the South African national team is poor by African standards.

He scored against France. Admittedly, against the side that imploded (surrendered), if memory serves. But still...

Some of you lot would complain that a free gold brick was too heavy to carry.

Greek league is not as good as the championship? Interesting. Panathinaikos would argue thats not the case and they are the 12th strongest in Europe ahead of Czech republic, Scotland, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, Norway and Denmark to name but a few. Dean Furman plays for South Africa too, if he is about the same standard as what he is then it's a great signing.

Reminds me of a story I heard about a local company owner who rewarded all his staff for achieving an industry award by giving each and every one of them a £50 Meadowhall voucher. A load of them shuffled off moaning "I don't even go to bloody Meadowhall".

I was speaking to a reading season ticket holder at work today.  He played for Reading 2 years ago on loan and said he was garbage they conceded a lot of goals with him at the back at the start of that season so they sent him back to spurs.

You never know the year in Greece he may have improved a bit.  He only had 22 games for them last season though

Look like Spurs have been lumbered with him on a long deal to me. Hope he works out well though.

I realise that Lee, but Sproty has been sacked.  He's a terrible manager.

We could always massively plagiarise Wednesday's Semedo song.
