Sat here with the "who's the best striker in the football league" Marquis song in my head and it got me thinking of some old favourites such as Rob Jones "Gold", and "Boom boom boom, let me hear you say Jamie, McCombe" which I only remember hearing once at Crawley but I thought it was a belter.
Any personal favourites?

The Rob Jones song was always a fave and was well supported by many fans.
"Sulli Sulli, what's the score
" always got a response from the man himself and I especially remember how he demonstrated 2-0 to the South Stand one day.
-
Going back some years there was "Ernie, Ernie Moss, you're my Ernie, Ernie Moss" sung to the tune of D.I.S.C.O by Ottowan.
-
Still have to go with the joe laidlaw one
five foot eight and overweight joey laidlaw
-
It's not for our player but I always liked "Did you cry when Hayter scored?" to taunt the Leeds fans.
-
Can't remember too many being sung with the same passion as the Rob Jones one by our fans. That day at Brentford when he stood on the wall in front of the fans after the game, f**k me, spine tingling.
-
'Melvin Jones youve been on too long' 2 mins into a subs appearance for Red Bear in the Goole and Thorne League
-
Sean Thorntons song was pretty good
And even better, Greg Blundell
-
never a song really taken up at the KM but i love the "its magic song" originally by Pilot.
The Wendies sang it about Samedo.
Perhaps im showing my age though as its a song from '75 and the younger gen will not be familiar
-

We definitely need a better song for Alfie than a rehash of the Billy Sharp tune.

I preferred Darren Moore's other song:
Darren Moore Darren Moore is our number four,
Darren Moore Darren Moore is our number four,
He eats raw meat,
He'll never be beat,
Darren Moore, Darren Moore, Darren Moore.

Nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, Jamie Lawrence

Very few of our current players have their own song.
Surely some of the old ones could be attached to some of the current lads.
-
I agree less of the new rubbish and let's go back to the older better known songs which will improve the atmosphere which recently has been like a library. How about.....
Alfie may, Alfie may, Alfie Alfie May, he gets the ball and scores a goal Alfie Alfie May!
Just an idea

Maaayooo! Maaayooo! Better than Branston Pickle.
