Season Ticket Bargain!!!
« on April 06, 2012, 05:06:23 pm by Rovers Return »
I have purchased my season ticket, my two 13 year olds, and my grandson. Total price £491.10 including the 50p credit card each season ticket.

£491.10 divided by four = £122.775

£122.775 divided by 23 games = £5.33804348

£5.34 each per game an absolute bargain me thinks :woot:

That's a great way to look at it.

I bought for me and my dad. 340 for me, 249 for him.

589 divided by (23 games x 2 people) = £12.80 a game

I paid more at OBV.

£5 for me paying on the day through work. £5 goes to charity as well. With no new shirt out next year DRFC will get £0 from me as they get nothing for away games. What a rubbish supporter.

Hopefully a deal will be done with the stadium. Pie, burgers, dairy milks and pints money goes to Rovers then.

You can make statistics say anything you want.  I paid £6.20 for the train, £10 to get in and £2.80 for Pie, Peas and Gravy at Stalybridge (and got to watch Tim Ryan turn back the years in defence!)

So £20 for a whole day out at a winning club or £50+ for the same stuff at the KM... except we never win!

Oh and before you all start moaning at me, my season ticket has been bought and paid for weeks ago.

You're both right...

The cost of home games is relatively better to what it was.

However you just can't beat away games; whether it be in the Conference at Northwich, Kingstonian, Welling, Leek; on the lash...

Or cracking days out (despite the results sometimes) in the Championship at the likes of Norwich, West Ham, Saints, Charlton; on the lash....

I guess we make of it what we want.
For me, it's the day out, rather than just the 90 minutes of football.

Otherwise if we focus too much on the result (particularly the last 18 months) we'd all go mad and internally combust!

Lovely positive post until individuals pull it to pieces ...see above and you wonder why people bother!

Well I celebrate the fact that Rovers have kept affordable football alive, but hey lets look back when things were so much better!

Hopefully we'll have great days next season too & the season after & the season after....

How do you work those figures out?

Based on the number of games you actually turn up to watch you must pay more per game than any one else.

Good post!

I'm really pleased that the club, and especially Shaun Lockwood, paid a lot of attention to the requests the VSC made with regard to pricing, offers, ease of payment, family tickets, loyalty discount etc etc.

I do think the club needs to applauded for its efforts. Nothings perfect of course and we will keep up the dialogue but still a great effort with the budget they had to work with.
