What is going on? Why have we got more loanees than can actually play?

It's clearly not a view to a permanent signing as well with him being newly unveiled a Luton player.

A pathetic day of business so far. But there are still 9 minutes left. No need to panic yet.

I’m ever the optimistic when it comes to the Rovers, but I’m seriously struggling to see how we’ve ended up with a player who was unattached to a loan signing. I know DM is friends with the Luton manager but Jesus.

Errrr... striker DM. Striker! Say it with me...

On a serious note what the actual F are we doing? Brought in a defender to warm the bench as he isn’t getting ahead of Tom or Cameron. Released a midfielder for free when a team wanted him so surely could have been sold(I get the wages thing). And signed no striker. We have no striker of our own at all. Not one.

The frustrating thing for me is that one of the reasons for a failure to bring a striker in has been that we've been told one of the factors is other clubs waiting for replacements to be sorted. This is what we should have done.

The player probably demanded a hefty signing on fee, or similar.

DM’s black book, must be well out of date, if all we can muster is loan signings, come january we could be without a team ffs!
his black book just covers the Birmingham area. And his old assistant manager Graeme Jones

The board will be happy that we’ve haven’t spent the Marquis money

Why would they?

Because redarmy82, who clearly enjoys the confidence of the board, says so.!!

Go for a different target then.

Then we should have moved on to other targets. That would, of course, require a bit of pro-active thinking which, unfortunately, hasn't been evidenced much this transfer window.

How do you know it hasn’t?

Lack of a satisfactory outcome does not indicate a lack of effort..

How difficult is that to understand.?

I think if we had a permanent striker signed we'd all be happy.  As of now we do not and that makes it a poor window despite some strong positives.

People are forgetting that we did sign a centre back on a permanent; Alex Baptiste. It's hardly DM's fault that he's had a serious injury.

What’s difficult to understand is other clubs seem to be able to make signings.

Something clearly isn't right is it? Most of us don't know exactly what, but almost everything that has been put out to the media this summer about signings and ambition hasn't been delivered.

Penny for Moore's thoughts. Do we think he is happy being so reliant on loan players?

DRFC DO NOT spend money that they do not have ! Marquis sale pays bills . Bury saga has highlighted what really happens at DRFC  and it’s keep what you have while you still can .

A big well done to DM for having the foresight to keep this forum on “ meltdown” for a little bit longer...lol....love it !

Maybe the lack of activity means the manager is more than happy with how things are going with this team and can see a bit more than the majority on here?

and..........has other plans that will become apparent, mmmmmm Moore twists and turns

We were told the Marquis money would be given to the manager to spend. We have that money.

He was interviewed the other day and said he really needs and wants to bolster his squad. So no, I wouldn't say he is totally satisfied with how things are going with the team.

A 33 year old free agent who played in 9 games last season.

Nonsense
Moore has stated numerous times he isn’t happ with the strength of the squad.
We’ve gone into deadline day desperate for a couple of signings and ended it in a worse state than yesterday

Predictable suicide status from the usuals.... laughable. There’s no point bringing in olayrts if they’re not right or the deal cannot be done on sensible terms.

I’m keeping faith with those that actually have all the details and what’s going on, rather then the armchair managers on here.

You know, if it wasn’t for the serious real problems they have to deal with, I would start a thread with contact details for the Samaritans.

Yes it is disappointing being a player or two short, and I would favour a proper no 9..

But bleating about it on here and saying something’s wrong at the club isn’t going to help us beat Rotherham on Saturday is it.?
