Brilliant.
He has become our rock. His progress as a player in the last 17 months has been quite stunning.
Thought he was decent when he first arrived but now he must be one of the best centre backs in League 1

Excellent news we needed him signing up because clubs would have been trying to get him straight away.

If he can become a real leader on the pitch then yes better than Rob Jones.
He is better on the deck than Rob.

Like to see him get a few goals from set pieces. Capable of doing better in that dept.

So we just need dieng signed up and a striker and we have our spine of the team! Glad his new deal has been sorted out, hopefully sadlier next and then we can start to build something around a core set of players that we know can deliver.

Or could it be more that the DFP got it right in the first place this time..?

Good the best two players now signed. Get Dieng and that will be even better

Did DM say we had got Deing for the rest of season. Or did i dream that.

We may in that case try and negotiate a permanent deal at some point between now and early May.
If we have to spend serious money to get him it will be money well spent.

He is down the pecking order at QPR so I would be surprised if we were asked to pay a fee much above £100.000

That would be the steel of this next decade. Please don’t tell QPR that though.

Excellent news, he’s a rock at the back for us and I’d say tieing him down to a new contract is similarly good news as Whiteman.

Think Dieng really has to be the next priority to try and sign permanently. He’s proven to be far superior to Lawlor, is a good age for potential resale and it would also free up another loan spot in the match day squad, which could be important depending on how the rest of the window goes for incoming players.

I think DM was quoted in the DFP the other day as looking to extend loans for Dieng, Sheaf and Daniels to the end of the season..

Yes he did but that would still give us 5 loans plus another if we get the player. Therefore sign the other permanents we need and if we can sign Dieng.

Keeping the best players is as important as signing ones that will improve us.

Hopefully we will hear more positive news before the Shrewsbury game.

Fingers crossed this starts a week full of positive incomings

Great news about Tom.
Did anyone else notice against Sunderland when he was laid on the floor in front of the East Stand.
A Sunderland player collected the ball and Tom tried to tackle him.....with his head!!

The only other player I know who would also do that is our old friend Lewis Dunk .. Sadly the own goals have dried up!!!!
