We can go on a run of wins like we have gone on a run of losses, classic. Thank god we didn't end up with him.

Was listening to him on the radio on the way home and I could feel the life being sucked out of me.

Even I would struggle to be positive about him being our manager

I'd not cottoned on that Clark was Bury's manager. It all makes sense now. I said to our kid half way through the first half that theyvlooked like a throwback to how football was in the 90s. All unsubtle aggression and attacks that were primarily based on 70 yard hoofs down the channels to for someone to chase. Horrible, horrible football to watch.

A bit of karma for that fateful last day of the season at St Andrews, when the smug git was prancing around punching the air for simply staying up at our expense.

That's surely him finished as a manager now. Shite.

I feared the worst when his ugly mug was sighted at the York game at the time we were looking for a new manager.

Didn't he go odds on overnight? And there was a thread with us all having a breakdown lol.

I think he might still be able to get a job somewhere, possibly back in Scotland, but his reputation as a manager leaves a lot to be desired.

This was absolutely inevitable given that he cobbled together an expensive squad in pre-season yet guided them into the relegation zone with little sign of things changing in the near future.

He had a great record as Huddersfield manager with a win percentage of better than 48%.

Looks like he benefitted from having Jordan Rhodes there, every job he's had since Huddersfield has been pretty much a disaster. In fact I remember when he left Hudds, despite having a great W/L record a lot of their fans were not sad to see him go. Which says it all really.

I'm glad we put the final nail in his Bury tenure, after that ridiculous gurning sprint on the last day of the season in 2014. Celebrating like he'd won the Premier League when really all he'd done was guide Birmingham to their worst finish in two decades and scraped survival over little Donny by the skin of his teeth.

Weirdly, a better manager would've had a worse win percentage at Hudds during that period as they would've been promoted to a more difficult league in it.

He spent well over a million on transfer fees alone at Hudds IIRC, and while they were knocking on the door (as you'd expect with that sort of investment) he bottled promotion twice.

I wished he'd stayed on, as that would have been 1 team at least below us!

However, he's right up there with all the other ex players who think they make good manager material and are just the opposite.
