What are the rules relating to a possible situation in the group section where 2 teams finish level on points, goal difference and goals scored? How is it decided which team moves on to the next stage?Just wondering!
It happened a World Cup, I believe, and was decided on the toss of a coin.

Basically goes through all the normal goal's scored, goal difference, head-to-head results until they reach red/yellow cards and then UEFA ranking:https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/euro-2020-group-stages-points-24250173

Blimey, that is complicated. Let’s hope that it doesn’t come down to this, eh?!
With EUFA in charge it could easily finish up being rock, paper, scissors. Best of three of course
Maybe should be shots on target
