'Thou shalt not pass!'
Best player on the park today - class! And a very deserved motm winner!
-
Apart from their balded number 6
-
And I quoted it wrong! D'oh! Lol
-
Butler for me
-
Butler got caught out a few times and had to foul to save face.
Thought alcock did ok there players had pace but couldnt do owt with it
-
Alcock is quality. Great performance.
-
Alcock for me. Thought he had a brilliant game. Matty Blair second for me.
-
Played well did Alcock, thought their number 9 was the best player today though, he was everything our number 11 wasn't, no comparison.

Dont get me started on Williams ! Absolutely pathetic. Always looking for the foul
-
Looks to me like Williams is carrying a bit of extra timber.
-
Alcock was very good today and when baudry is back if we are to play a 3 at the back then mason who I thought was average again today should be the player to miss out
-
Butler surely had to be Gandalf today whilst playing alongside a pair of dwarves in Alcock and mason.
Thought it showed today. Could've done with a bit more physicality out there. It was men against boys for the most part. Although clearly not helped by the woeful ref.

I would put Mason back in midfield when Baudry is back, perfect replacement for Houghton if he is out for a while.
-
Not a bad shout that.
I was thinking that Middleton would get the nod but Mason could probably do a decent one there.
Alcock is always good, a top quality player.
I would really like us to go back to a back four though.
-
Our most effective formation/team
Lawler
Blair. Baudry. Butler. Mason
Houghton
Grant. Rowe
Coppinger
Marquis. Williams or
Mandeville or
May

I'm a huge admirer of Alcock, always have been. He had a fantastic game today and he would be one of the first names on the team sheet for me every week.
Butler was also very good, doing the things you want from him. Big headers when needed, and one of the few strongmen in our team...which we certainly needed today.
I feel Williams' pain. I was willing him to score today but he's just not clicking at the moment. I was delighted for Alfie May and I reckon Williams will start on the bench next Saturday.
-
Well if you want Alcock in a back 4 that's fine I have no problem playing him at RB and that to me is his natural and best position.
Blair would then have to play on the right of the diamond or leave him out or leave either Grant or Rowe out. Take your pick but they can't all play can they.
Anyway it sounds as though Jordan Houghton has a bad injury and will be out for some time. So who plays at the base of the diamond now? Middleton or Keegan or maybe Mason and play Alcock at left back but he is very right footed.
Who would be a manager? It's not easy. :headbang:

Agreed.
Butler did well but Lesononthewest picked the best player on the pitch for me.
-
Alcock has been a great signing. Better than a lot give him credit for in my opinion.
