now then my memory's shot the old scunny ground? could someone direct me from the new ground to the old . show ground was it?

Straight on at the Berkley roundabout for about a mile or so until you come to some traffic lights at a crossroads just before Scunthorpe High Street, there's a Sainsbury's on your left, thats where the Old Showground was

Scunny is the big one for me. I started going to Belle Vue in 1994 and the next few years we were consistently in the same division as Scunny. Colin Cramb and Micky Norbury are still fondly remembered for their exploits at Glanford Park. Cramb's 30-yarder over Samways in front of their fans is still one of my all-time favourite Rovers goals. A more sweetly hit strike you'll be hard-pushed to find.

York on the train is always a great away day too. Shame they put in the ticket barriers at Donny, it was always fun to see a mass trespass of several hundred fare dodgers taking the 20 minute trip up the main line!

Scunny because I live at Hatfield and can do my shopping after the game.

Strange thing is, most of the teams mentioned in this thread don't consider us as their rival.

Rovrum and Scunny do.

Really? I work in Rotherham, and most of their supporters who I know do not consider us to be their rival. They consider them to be the Sheffield clubs and Barnsley.

They I suggest don't want to be associated with the little pub team down the road.
Rotherham fans seem to believe they're in a par  with Wendies.
Sheffield  Utd the same towards Wendies.
Dingles is the blades and Wendies.
Scunny would be Grimsby I guess.
We're the noisy neighbours ( to use someone else's  quote) who everyone wants to ignore. Bit like Leeds at Wembley.....sorry couldn't resist.

Rotherham, then Scunny.
