Help needed - new flyer going out next week!!!!

After the success of the last flyer (which put 2,000 extra supporters onto the gate of the Scunthorpe game), JR has asked if the VSC would be willing to do it again.

Snod's Shinpad has designed an excellent, double page flyer, and I've just had an email from the printers that 5,000 printed copies will be with me on Monday.

Last time, a handful of beautiful, generous people donated an hour or two of their time to distribute a couple of hundred each, and the result was superb.  All of those people have already signed up to help distribution again.  BUT WE NEED MORE!!!

Do you have a couple of hours to spare to help distribute a couple of hundred flyers?

Maybe you could push them through letterboxes in your neighbourhood whilst taking the dog for a walk?  Maybe you could get your kids involved to give them something to do now the schools have broken up?  Maybe you have a shop and could have a small stack on the counter?  Maybe you could ask your local pub to have a stash on the bar?  Maybe you could hand them out at work, or leave a pile in the staff canteen?

Please PM me over the weekend if you can help.  JR was very appreciative of the efforts of those who helped last time, and contacted them all personally to say so.  

Please help out if you can.

I have the newsagents in Wood St in the town centre  if you let me have some I put them in the shop window and let the office staff take them in to their work place.Iam sure my brother would do the same at our shop in the Market Place

The club should be giving us some help in terms of advance notice of any offers on certain games so we can include them on the flyer.

And, would the club be bold enough to allow folk to cash in a £5 voucher if we printed them on the tickets ?

This definitely needs doing again and preferably again and again.

Mine is on the fridge and a fantastic advert for a quick guide to fixtures. But the problem is, I'm already committed.

I wonder, how many just threw them in the bin, as the season hasn't started, Footy may be the last thing on their mind.

In an ideal world this could happen at the start of each month, and we might have more chance of catching the floaters, who were discussing it the day before at work, school, home etc etc. By giving the Donny public a monthly fantastic little flyer with the following months fixtures, and the added bonus that Donny may be doing well, may be in the media more......it will give us that bigger chance to recruit.

As said, this new flyer is excellent, but I wonder how many lose them, bin them.....and then a month or two later (when we are topical) think 'ooooh I had a flyer for Rovers, I wish I had kept it now, oh well forget it'.


I would trial this on a monthly basis for one season and let's see the results.

Logistics:

Over-feeding the public....I don't think so, there is a continued evidence of continued apathy in Doncaster. Over feeding may be to us, but we can accept that.

Time.....myself included, and the enthusiasm on here will see this home for a season.

Money....now here I'm not sure how the VSC financially stands, but I would personally go to the club asking for financial assistance in this and would feel at ease in the request.
