Todays team
COYR
-
Hodens gone with a 4-2-3-1 but could be 4-4-2 or 5-2-1-2 with those players.
-
I would’ve thought
Olowu Williams younger
Seaman Jackson
Rowe. Smith
Martin
Griffith’s. Odubeko
-
Now that’s a front 2
-
Where's Galbraith?
-
Clayton was supposed to be this rock of experience in the midfield, and so he warms his bum on the bench. I can do that and watch a game of football, when is he going to earn his wages?
-
He hasn’t played for a year
We started him on Tuesday and it showed he isn’t fit yet, he was obviously not gonna start today
-
He hasn’t played for a year
We started him on Tuesday and it showed he isn’t fit yet, he was obviously not gonna start today
And in the interviews about him they were amazed " at how fit he was, keeping logs of his running on his treadmill etc. Utter garbage. Buying in players who can't play shows exactly where we are, becoming a care home for the unfit and a babysitting area for those who can't cope with men's football.

Much different match fitness to everyday training.
-
Fit and match fit.
-
I’m surprised Jones is benched again. I thought he said he had left him out as a bit of a learning curve
From what people were saying non here Mitchell had a mare last week
-
Exactly
We’ve signed plenty of players who looked miles off it in their first few games
Turned out to be very good
Only donny fans would make their mind up after 45 mins
-
Duckos are you on about Clayton or Mitchell.
-
out of interest have we all forgotten we have never beaten this lot - if Sundies hadn't lost at home to Mansfield in the F A Cup then we would have got another shot at finally beating them .
It makes you wonder if some of us will still be alive when we next play them in the league match (sobering thought).
Team doesn't look too bad -- it seems yours truely is the only one who believes we can stay up
the matches after this are starting to look a lot easier :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
-
Todays aim is performance, we may lose, but I want something to make me feel we are getting better, Tuesday knocked the confidence I had we were beginning to turn a big corner.
-
Duckos are you on about Clayton or Mitchell.
Clayton, sorry we posted at the same time
-
Looking better so far today donny theres been more attacking intent already than in the whole first half against rotherham.
-
charlton equalised against wimbledon & Marquis has scored again is that 3 ?
gola!!!!!!!!!!!! which translates as rovers 1-0 winning
-
0-1 Get in there Rovers !!
-
Get the f''k in :rtid:
-
REO!!!
-
Only 70 minutes to hold on.
-
Griffiths
-
What a goal that was
-
23' Beautiful ball from Martins unlocks Reo Griffiths who beats Hoffmann one-on-one!
COME ON LADS!! 0-1 #DRFC #SUNDON
-
This boy knows how to finish ,just took it in his stride and shot
-

those two men in white coats at the front door are right pi$$ed off at the moment -- but therere again they are on overtime
-
What ever the score finishes well done Reo.
-
Brilliant if Rovers finally have a goal threat, keep going lads.
-
I really really like the look of Martin, quality player. Is there any chance of signing him?

Wrong, CLH; we beat them 2-0 away in the FA Cup in the 1950s.
-
Fantastic start to the game and to Reo's career. Let's keep it up!
-
Great save to stop Olowu scoring
-
We are counter attacking really well and looking a threat going forward
-
Williams unlucky from a Jackson corner.
-
How nice is it to not have Bogle or Dodoo playing up front. Absolute donkeys we signed and put up with for far too long
-
Seman has effort tipped onto the bar
-
Got to put them away when we're on top like this.
-
:pinch:Should be 2 up
-
We are battering them at this point. This is again why I think we will pull together eventually.
:rtid:
We need to score from these chances again! Should be 3-0
-
Martin is playing well I agree but he slashed away a good chance there!
-
His name is Reo and he dances on the sand, just like a river flowing through the donny land……
-
Has Mitchell had anything to do yet?
-
The stats say we are on top. Is that a true reflection
-
Yes, by a long way. However they have missed a very good chance.
-
:rtid:
The stats say we are on top. Is that a true reflection
Phil, according to the BBC website, possession is 66%/34% in Sunderland’s favour.
-
Come on you mighty red and whites
-
£2.50 to listen on ifollow, I know not everyone has the money or even the access to the internet.
Cops on as co commentator.
-
Come on you mighty red and whites
Rovers that is!
-
Only 45 minutes I know, but this Reo looks like a real real player. Can control it, can score, pressures high and..... has scored.
-

Phil, according to the BBC website, possession is 66%/34% in Sunderland’s favour.
Don't care if it's 99%/1% to them providing the score stays like this
-
Get innn
-
You don't get a sweeter finish than that,
-
Fantastic start to the game and to Reo's career. Let's keep it up!
Yep. This is his first ever first team start, and what a way to mark it.
-
Get in Roweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
-
45+' The ball bobbled around in the box from a Martins corner before Tommy Rowe blasted the ball past Hoffmann. 0-2 #DRFC #SUNDON

It hasn't :(
-
This is glorious. I wish I was there
-
The fans are booing at half time, but it ain’t the Rovers fans
COYR
-
Copps summed the half up … ‘Ourstanding’
and thoroughly deserved.
-
Smashed it!

-
Well that’s 2 can we not throw it away we poor play or poor substitutes. If we get a draw or beat by better play then that’s acceptable come boys
-
Rowe hit that with some power, Sunderland look ed poor in that first half
-
Their fans usually walk out when things don't go their way.
Let's hope they're on their way home as I type!
-
I'm honestly a bit scared. Not only were we the better team there, but we were also truly professional from top to bottom - game management spot on. Please no Morecombe.
-
Is it to early to believe?
-
World of difference from Tuesday. We are competing all over the pitch.
-
Well that’s 2 can we not throw it away we poor play or poor substitutes. If we get a draw or beat by better play then that’s acceptable come boys
we should not lose this ,we are playing well and look dangerous when we attack ,we are on top and could have had more goals as well
-
Shame weren’t two up last Saturday too, as we deserved to be..
Big 45 minutes coming up. If we can beat these in their gaff then we still have hope for the season..
-
Wow. Just wow.
-
We've had good 45 minutes before, but we've never translated it into a 90.
-
What the heck is going on here??? We actually sounded good in that first half. I think Copps is a lucky omen as Co commentator!
-
Absolutely different team, confidence growing, look a completely competitive and top half of the table team now. Too late this season for that but seen more than enough that half to know we have what it takes to dig ourselves out this mess. Just a positive mindset now for the second half please.
-
You just know hats coming though!!
-
Maybe I should go and pour a lucky pint!
-
It's a shame Copps has no motivation for management, because not only did he play like a god but he reads the game like a god.
-
Right carry on doing what got you in this position, don’t drop back and invite them on
-
Can somebody tell me what to do during a half time when we are 2-0 up. I’ve put the kettle on but not sure if that’s a bit low key
-

Cuppasoup... With a measure of gin in it.
-
Shouldn’t that be Copp-a-soup.?
-
Great save from Mitchell
-
Shouldn’t that be Copp-a-soup.?
That’s terrible but I love it!
Have a word with the club, what an idea, it’s definitely got legs!
-
Outstanding half of football. Sunderland started strongest but we wrestled control back from them and we could have been 4 up. Excellent man for man that half. The movement, tracking back, picking up second balls, chasing down - superb.
We have been disciplined and unbelievably good.
The crowd is on Sunderland's back, and they're at each other.
Copps is a wonderful co-commentator. His reading of the game and insight is brilliant.
A word on the ref. He has been pretty good. Missed a clear foul on Reo when he had his shirt pulled after he'd turned a defender, and Sunderland have these subtle pushes when Rovers players are in the air, just nudging them off their headers, down to a fine art.
-
We still aren't passing it as crisply as I'd like, but this is about being resilient and sensible now.
-

Wrong emoji!
-
RoShaun Williams having his best game.
-
Also, Jonathan Mitchell has been great.
-
:pinch:What a run and shot from Rowe
-
Mitchell is having a good game.
-
wow wow Mitchell
-
Pele Banksesque there
-
It looked like it might have crept over the line, but if it didn't he's made two great saves there.
-
Need to find some way of relieving this pressure.
-
That looked in for Sunderland
-
I don’t know how Mitchel kept that one out!
We are defending very well too in dealing with crosses and corners.
-
Down to 28% possession now for rovers.
If they can manage this game out that would be huge huge improvements on what has been this season
-
Help…I’m getting very nervous now!
-
Just watched it back... Wasn't in.
-
Never thoughts 35,000+ people could be so quiet.... ;)
-
Griffiths is knackered, get him of GM
-
We still aren't moving the ball fast enough, taking too many touches. Everyone wants to dribble with it.
-
Yes, sub Griffith soon
-
Sounds like we are totally different compared to the first half? Or are Sunderland much better?
-
You just know Defoe is going to bag one...
-
marquis looks like an inspired signing..
-
Can’t let Defoe roll the centre half. Keep doing what we are doing. I hope we’re not looking to hold on bringing Gardner on. Keep doing what got us here.
-
Griffith has been very impressive. Not just the goal but the defensive side of the game, chasing down and getting stuck in. A prospect.
-
10 minutes of normal time left.
This is agony. Think I'll have a packet of M&Ms.
-
Griffiths off for Knoyle, looks like we are just going to defend it.
-
marquis looks like an inspired signing..
Maybe, but I will wait until next season to make a proper judgement, despite scoring 3 in 3 they have lost one and are losing today.
-
10 minutes of normal time left.
This is agony. Think I'll have a packet of M&Ms.
I'm at Lloyd bridges in Airplane level. M&Ms insufficient for me.
-
Has there ever been a bigger turnaround from the debut performance of the keeper to this one? He's been superb today,

-

-
Please please please defend defend
-
Surely we can have the ounce of luck from here?
-
Come on lads hold the line
-
Park the bus
-
Well that's been coming, need to hang on now
-
Please please please defend defend
Please please please…..get the ball up in their half!
-
How much injury time
-
hoof time...
-
Come on Rovers,hold on.
How many minutes added?
-
What was that you was saying about the keeper
-
He should have saved that
-
4
-
1 minute left for yous on a delay.
-
game over
-
YES,Superb results boys,what a turnaround from Tuesday.
-
Final score 1-2. Well done Rovers!
-
Get in. Great win
-
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
-

-
Wow. Just wow.
Everyone get down to the km tues night.
There’s another win to be had there
-
And relax.
What a win!
-
We won it in the 1st half, and made sure we didn't lose it in the 2nd.
-
yeeeesssss !!!!!!
-
Outstanding. Deserved that.
-
That will be the Eco-Power Stadium then
-
Great result. Well done.
-
Well done to GMC and the squad and althoughs who disrespected the keeper last week well different to day I believe and the reporter on Sky
-
That will be the Eco-Power Stadium then
It will never be that to me .
Belle vue was always belle vue. Not the earth stadium or whatever it was.
-
Before this game, did anyone forecast this result?
Seems like we were under the cosh for much of that half - just proves how important it is to take chances.
Huge win, massive boost.
-
Unbelievable result.
You reds.
-
Sunderland forums in meltdown tonight
-
Fantastic result - gives us just a glimmer of hope!!
-
Bloody incredible result. Never in a million years would I have bet on that. What a turn around.

There were a few win predictions on PvO mate.
-
We may be down, but that result proves that we're not out............ well done boys.... if I was able to I'd buy you all a pint.
-
Excellent result. Well played Rovers. Coming together nicely. Keep the faith. Can we play top half teams away all the time please
-
Well let’s face it that was to say the least unexpected, but from listening to the commentary deserved
Onwards and upwards. Bring on Tuesday
COYR
-
And to top it off,Bolton just equalised in added time to make the gap 8pts now
-
Well done to GMC and the squad and althoughs who disrespected the keeper last week well different to day I believe and the reporter on Sky
Mitchell was immense today and I would give him MOM but they all deserved it today!!
-
And to top it off,Bolton just equalised in added time to make the gap 8pts now
cant believe that they scored in the 14th minute of 17 minutes injury time you don't realise how significant that Bolton goal will be (yes we might forgive Bolton for their antics if we stay up)
i presumed WIMBLEDON HAD WON
-
Wimbledon were 3-2 down from 60th minute.
Did you mean Morecambe.
-
From Sunderland site about Younger...
Looked a player. Can't understand why we weren't looking to sign somebody like him in this window.
-
Wimbledon were 3-2 down from 60th minute.
Did you mean Morecambe.
yes Wimbledon (same thing only different) and we got a double cream result
belatedly found out Oxford not only came from behind but got a late winner against Portsmouth
which means Portsmouth season is now totally over - and they have $od all to play for .. so 3 more points for the taking at a place we do well at.
-
Well done lads, same again Tuesday.
