Tommy Rowe for me today, probably his best performance since coming back from injury

The team were all good, Rowe for me and my lad, never stopped running

Downing for me. Defence had a tough time and he made two to three goal saving tackles. Very impressed.

Butler for me.
He took a battering and gave one back.
Solid as a rock.

Rowe had his best performance for us in a long time today but Downing was immense

Kane edged it for me over Rowe and Butler. Great to have him back for the run in.

Hard one to call everyone had a great game, each player did have a 10 minute spell where they were a bit off it comparatively to the rest of the game

Kane, just, for me. Could have been Downing, Rowe or Andrew easily though. Great performance yesterday.

Kane for me, back how he played when we signed him.

Downing just edged it for me won everything and was so composed, no frills just a class centre back.

A wide selection of votes indicating a great team effort. Interestingly Danny Andrew is the only one of our players in the Football League Paper team of the week, his second selection in the last couple of weeks.

Funnily enough he’s picked again when scoring. I’m not saying Andrew doesn’t deserve to be in the team of the week but picking the defence in that team is very, very lazy.

That was my point Nick. You can be immense at the back in keeping a clean sheet but it is easier to give it to a scoring defender.
I mean no slight on Danny Andrew there and would take nothing away from a good performance.

That’s right - I was replying to Selby and you posted as I was writing. Didn’t see the point in changing it given we were both making the same point!

Their selection method at times leaves a lot to be desired.

I imagine they spend all of 5 minutes on selecting that team to be fair, it's not like anyone is sat watching all 12 games in full to determine who the best players were on that given day.

I was just pointing out that he was the only one of our players in the FLP not my choice and that he was picked recently as well. I personally deliberated between Downing, Rowe, and Kane, before going for Kane. There was more than those three who played well as far as I am concerned.
One of the hardest picks of the season by far, Marosi with very little to do, but an absolutely stunning save that kept the pressure off in the closing stages of the game.
