Tonight’s results.
« on April 01, 2024, 11:20:25 pm by Colin C No.3 »
Gillingham, Newport, Wimbledon all losing along with draws for Tranmere & Bradford.

Not a bad set of results for us once tomorrow’s result catapults us into 14th place with plenty games in hand on those whose heels we’re ‘nipping’ at!

I don’t think we can make that seventh place Colin but tonight’s results certainly put us in with a very good chance of the top half of the division.

Why don't you think we can?

We actually can.

And when you look at form and fixtures if we win all our games it's there for the taking.

Not if just one of the teams above us has a good run of results.

We just need to concentrate on ourselves if we get 70-71 points then we will be there or thereabouts.
Crewe’s form is going to push the 6th spot back up for grabs too I think

Crewe have 14 point start on us and Crawley have ten points start.
That is going to take a massive shift to overcome and even then we would be relying on all the other teams above us failing to pick up points sufficient enough for us to get past them.
I really do hope that it happens but I can’t see it doing so.
I did check the dates of the play off matches yesterday though. ;-)

Disagree

See the max points posts earlier. With the games in hand there is only crawley that is a significant issue with our games in hand and with form.

All we can do is win all our games. If we do that I genuinly believe we will make it.

If Crewe continues their form of the last 7 games they will end the season on 70 points.
If we win all our remaining games we will end the season on 73 points.
If we win 6 of the last 7 we end the season on 70 points.

We can keep dreaming of 7th & why not? We'd certainly be the feared team if we did somehow make the play offs.
Realistically a top half finish would be great, & I'd love to finish with a positive goal difference. How are Gilligham up there with a gd worse than ours btw?
