This kind of thing happened in 1984 during the strike, and it`s still happening today!

A very good mate of mine once worked in the Sheffield Constabulary for a few years. He swears blind that:
1) 8 out of 10 coppers would be in prison if they weren't in 'the force'
2) 10 out of 10 coppers look forward, with huge anticipation, to Friday and Saturday nights as they can go in swinging and no one will ever complain. He reckons they enjoy a fight so much that they set 'em off on purpose. Didn't need him to tell us that!
The Met, of course, have long had the reputation of being the most corrupt and the most violent force of the lot.

I know that there will be strongly held views on this, but for a bit of balance my sister is a copper and her beat is in Castleford and for what it's worth I wouldn't do a fraction of what she has to do for what she gets paid.
I wouldn't want to be the first one on the scene of road traffic accidents where young kids have died, or have to tell their parents or many of the other things that she has had to do on a number of occasions.
I'm sure there are bad coppers like there are in every profession.

Of course there are Berkshire. It's the relatively few who screw it up for the rest. But to be effective, the police have to simply be above suspicion. And they're not. And it's on all scales too. It's not just yobby cops pushing their weight about. It's about the 5, that I can remember, innocent people who have been shot dead, mostly without warning, with not a single person disciplined in any of the cases. Itr's shameful; and it shames the police of this country.
Cheers

Tell thi what. The Met hold a grudge an all.
Look at Smiley Culture. 27 years ago, the cheeky reggae chappy took the piss out of them on Top if the Pops with \"Police officer no give me Producer.\"
Yesterday they burst into his flat and stabbed the poor bas**rd to death.
