Tonight’s team
COYR
-
Rowe, Seaman, Smith???
-
RW said in his prematch that Tommy had a problem with his Achilles as for the other two, no idea
COYR
-
Is it being streamed?
-
Only 6 subs as well with Jones the oldest at 22. Richie will looking after Smith, Seaman and Rowe. He said tall physical side so he’s picked our tallest and experienced players apart from Barlow. That’s all he can do
-
Strange team. Rather Horton play at left back. Just hope we get through the game without any injuries and those that are missing are just precautionary
-
So that's Taylor, Hiwula, Fejiri, Rowe, Smith, Seaman all missing tonight. Got to feel a bit sorry for Richie really given that.
-
Is it being streamed?
Audio only I believe.
-
Is it being streamed?
No Carabao Cup matches being streamed by iFollow this season.
-
Thanks
-
I know Rowe is due to be injured for a while as usual but hopefully not out for ages just yet.
-
I would say Rowe is precautionary and the other 2 saving for Saturday nothing more
-
31. Off the boil
Rovers are still seeing more of the ball than the opposition in this game but the incisiveness of their play has certainly dropped off. Their passing into the final third has been poor over the last ten minutes or so.
Business as usual.
-
38. Hosts on top
It’s been Walsall that have had the better of things over the last five minutes or so. Rovers are struggling to get a hold on possession and the hosts are flooding forward quickly.
-
From what I have been listening to we have been second best all half

My lad is there. He says other than a deflected attempt from bogle there is nothing to report.

Not sure if this a Typo

I’m here, it’s pretty awful.
-
I am here. Having some joy down the right and the right full back is good.
Playing out each time from Tom. Goes sideways back, sideways hoof. Need to vary that.
Front five need to up their game and work harder with and without the ball.
-
Not sure bogle is the answer if playing on his own
-
Strange nobody put this in.
16 Positive Start
It has been decent from Rovers in the early stages of this game. Richie Wellens wanted his side to show more control that they did on Saturday and it has been so far, so good on that front.
There’s a patience about their play, they don’t look as nervy as they did at the weekend and they look a lot more confident in possession.
Walsall are not pressing with the intensity that Wimbledon did, which is helping. But so too is the base provided by Ben Close and, in particular, John Bostock. He is generally available for a pass back if the pressure rises and is getting Rovers on the front foot again quickly with some incisive passing
-
Walsall just had their best chance. Funnily enough it was from one of our best positions. They broke...God knows how they failed with a one on one

65' What a save!
Branden Horton so close to a goal with his first kick since coming on. He met a cross to the back post but it's well saved by Rushworth.

Was a great save

65. Best chance so far
It was a good counter attack from Rovers and one that really should have been finished off.
They won the ball back in their own half and surged forward, with Aidan Barlow carrying the ball to the corner of the box. The former Manchester United youngster squared, looking for Omar Bogle but it ran all the way through to Branden Horton who fired on goal but saw Carl Rushworth save. He really should have scored.
-
Hope Bostock is not injured
-
Says injured on DFP.
Nightmare.
-
Says same on Sky
-
77' SAVED!
Aidan Barlow with a spectacular, acrobatic effort on target. Top save by Rushworth to deny him. 0-0 #DRFC #WALDON

Commentators on ifollow didn't mention any injury to Bostock
-
Can only hope DU
-
Also mentioned on BBC.
Sounds like we've had a good spell.
-
Penalties looming.
-
Is it extra time and Penalties?

Is it extra time and Penalties?
Straight to penalties after 90
-
Just pens
-
Dolburg to be the hero and make the winning save on penalties
-
That was a short game for AJ
-
Greaves sent off for serious foul play.
-
Yep AJ sent off
-
Wellens didn’t look at him guess he not happy
-
I’ve said it since he came into the team. AJ Greaves is not good enough. Everyone loves him because he likes a tackle. He is a loose cannon who gets booked every game and can’t pass the ball.
-
16 minute cameo
-
Greaves has looked likely for a red card every single time I've seen him play. If he doesn't sort that out he'll never make it.
-
That's two more midfielders out for Saturday. We are looking a bit short of players now. Bit early in the year for that.
-
Are red cards competition specific
-
Bostock injured and now head case AJ gets a 3 match ban!
You couldn’t make this up. I’d love to know what side RW can put out on Saturday.
-
Has Wellens signed a playing contract
-
At the rate we are losing players it might be a blessing to lose on penalties.
-
Haven't seen this game but Greaves was a red card waiting to happen last season. He needs to learn some discipline, fast.
-
Copps to come in on a short-term contract?
-
Not a bad shout
-
In his short career, Greaves is doing a good job in showing he hasn't got the discipline to be a professional footballer by the looks.
Can anyone knock it out of him?

9.41pm Much better second half
The second half was vastly improved from a Rovers perspective and they were the dominant side throughout.
They were parked in the Walsall half for much of the 45 minutes, kept the ball well and gently probed away. There were good chances for the likes of Branden Horton and Aidan Barlow.
It was much more encouraging. But the less said about AJ Greaves’ challenge, the better.
Now we go to the spot to decide this game.
-
1-0 gardner misses
-
Well, whatever happens now it sounds like a good improvement.
Need to keep our fingers tightly crossed re injuries.

-
Unbelievable Jeff!
-
Thanks for all the updates,
Haven't sorted my ifollow subscription as yet, so it seemed like the old days waiting for the teleprinter.
-
Quality. Never doubted it.
-
Job done,
-
Just hope Bostock is fit for Saturday
-
Well done lads
-
phew , shambolic win , but glad for Ritchie as well as us. Hopefully will he playing better by next round. :scarf:
-
Yep AJ sent off
Why was he ever given a new contract in April who ever thought he was a league 1 player knows nothing about football yet we are stuck with him on our budget for this season
-
You can always rely on a Scandinavian keeper in a penalty shoot out
