I didn't realise GJ was part of the Belgium coaching team. Good gig that.

Does anybody remember that prat Daryl Clare used to have a Fry's cream or other chocolate bar down his sock and get it out and eat it when he scored.
I'd be tempted to Ve a dummy in my shorts and give it to. Neymar when he fell over. Mind you you would need massive shorts to carry that many.

Dunno if anyone else noticed it but RM and Bonner had one of the longest on-pitch embraces ive ever seen after the final whistle. It’s clear there is a decent bond between the two of them. Im assuming they were both playing at Wigan together which is how the friendship started.

Always liked Jones when he was at Rovers, but where does "Bonner" come from ? Excuse my ignorance but I've not heard that before  :(

“Bonner” I remember Sean Parrish calling him that on the pitch .
Shrewsbury away GJ scored in the first minute and we defended the rest of the game

Hard f*cker he was, Idler; I worked down Bentley pit at the same time as him; sadly, he died of cancer a few years ago.

Sorry to hear that Steve, I only knew him by sight as he was a bit older than me. Did he knock about with Johnny Black?

I don't know, Idler, but I think he knocked about with lads from Hyde Park, which is where he was from. Later on, he moved to Bentley.

Im guessing he went back into the changing room with melted chocolate all down his leg this day then?
