Let's see how he does - was on loan at Leeds earlier this season but didn't play.

Wikipedia informs me that signing Alnwick now means we have had 3 of the 4 infamous 'Sunderland porn video' players. Does this mean we'll be signing Liam Lawrence at the end of the season!? :P

We'll need Chris Brown as well to make it 5.

Brown is one of the 4. Him, Woods and Alnwick are the three guys to play for the Rovers...although Alnwick hasn't played yet of course.

Makes you wonder where our scouting system really is set-up :P

May I just point out, in the light of the direction taken by this thread, that I was referring to his Goalkeeping qualities here ;) ;)

He's a good keeper the reason I know this is I signed him for rovers on football manager and he kept clean sheets for me. But I know its not real life so i dont know what he will do :)

Remember him being highly rated when at Sunderland. Seems he hasn't had a chance to prove what he can do since then.

Maybe a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season? He's 24 now so will want to play games, and has Gomes, Cudicini, Pletikosa and possibly Button ahead of him at Tottenham. Might be an ideal replacement for Sully.

That is a cracking signing. It would find me years to find the thread but I suggested him on this very site when speculation about keepers came up once before. Played well against us when he was on loan at Luton.

He a mate's cousin! He's been on about us getting him here for years and it's finally happened! Supposed to be a very good keeper and will be straight into the side on Saturday.

I think it would be quite harsh on G.Woods if he did go straight into the side after he did so well on tuesday.

I agree and was pleased for him as well being in the right place at the right time is something you can't coach yet he managed it for me and did well. The only thing I did think through the highlights is that he didn't seem that natural between the posts yet ......... Slightly awkward looking I thought, but maybe I'm being over harsh as it's something that only experience will give.  Maybe not quite ready for Roland road full of arrogant leed t**ts

Erm I meant bellend road but then not many of them are as intelligent as Roland rat lol

According to that fountain of knowledge that is Wikki ... Alnwick will be out of contract with Spurs in June 2011. :woot:

Just talking to a guy I know who's very deeply connected with Spurs, rekons he's a brilliant keeper and will 'keep us up' should we find ourselves in a relegation battle.
