Liam Hoden tweeted that we can all go to sleep as the club are still deciding on the best candidate.

He said no guarantees it will even be done tommorow, depends on personal terms etc.

Why not just draw straws . It’s about as selective as it’s going to be !!

Don't forget though, whilst odds could be a good indicator, they could mean nothing also.

Danny Wilson was 1/5 on when Ferguson got appointed.

As most people know the betting odds on managerial appointments can be changed by roughly £100 been placed on one candidate, £20 here, £20 there

It’s still not (yet) what you’d consider a seismic shift in the odds. But it feels pretty significant at this stage. We’ll see tomorrow I guess.

Significantly, though, the other 2 candidates seem to be drifting out!

Wellens in to 1/3 and Robinson out to 5/1 now. Eustace drifted right out to 14/1.

Who bets at this late stage on short odds without knowing who the managers is going to be. Looks pretty nailed on now to be Richie.

Liam Hoden reiterated again last night that we haven't decided yet still.

As said above, it seems odd that anybody would be chucking money on Wellens at 8/11 etc to fetch his price shorter unless they actually knew something.

Sure we will find out soon enough.

People seem to be basing the outcome on these odds. If anything the betting could not have been more wrong.

I think we just wait and see rather than use that as an indication

I know where you’re coming from, and clearly nothing confirmed yet. It’s the timing of this shift in the odds that feels significant compared to other movements. I guess we’ll see. And now is a good time to lump on one of the others if you think it’s them!

The bookies wouldn't drift Eustace out to 14/1 if he had a chance.

They're not daft and whilst they might get the favourite wrong sometimes, it'd naive to say its purely based on people backing.

The market is of course swung by bets, but why would anybody be lumping on Wellens at less than evens unless they knew something?

I think it's a 2 horse race and if it is then 4/1 is good value on Robinson.
