I'm amazed I'm the only one to name Steve Read. I once saw him away from home against Shrewsbury score a goal from a free kick break the net.

One player I'm glad never pulled on the shirt for us is Cliff Byrne. Watching Oldham v Liverpool now and he is still one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. How he's managed to play at a somewhat decent level for so long is beyond me.
