Still some twists and turns but the other teams keep falling over themselves, which is a good job because we're not entirely convincing.

Full marks for effort and endeavour but we need a little more tactical know how and intelligence on the pitch at times.

It should have been but we rarely make it easy. The thrill would go then.

No it wasn't as easy as it should have been but we still keep pulling out the wins.

We're not the only club at the top who aren't convincing.

Was abit should of been well out of sight snd seemed to take foot of gas again.decent 25 yard free kick from by far there best player and then sloppy play from letting them take a quick short corner

Brilliant comment from the Blade on Dee Deh.

"Na den. Just listening t'game and theas a  player we should sign. Is transfer window still open? That Duffy. Saw him play and said to me mate he's a good 'un. Where does he play? Is he a winger??"

Thought, you'd seen him play mate !!??

Why are these rovers fans complaining on grumble and grumble. Making us sound likes Sheffield fans!

Embarrassing.

Quality, you could n`t make it up, it must be something about being at the foot of the Pennines that turns them a bit thick!

Here he is Brian the Blade ! Ha Ha...

What a joker!

Rovers to beat blunts in the play off final. Rovers shouldn't have got shut of Saunders! Bad decision to promote our number two!

Wrong on every level.

Clelsea would have bought Ched Evans for big money if he wasn't in prison!

Brian the Blade is deluded.

It should've, could've been easy 4-1, 5-1 but we have this ability to make life difficult b

That free kick ruined my mood.  30 yards out, and we are playing an offside trap on the 18 yard line, instead of defending it properly and getting players in the box and on the 2 posts.

Under SOD we always had JOC and Roberts on the posts when the opposition had a FK in a central position, and neither DS or BF have done this.  I wonder if this is new thinking in the coaching manual?

Thought it was a superb free kick really and very rare to have anyone on the post as they would be playing everyone inside, and unless it was rob jones on the post still think it would of gone in.never seen anyone go on the post from free kicks when Saunders was near and only seen it once in a while under SOD when like you say rob when one of full backs use to run back late on

I think the thinking is, get people in the box and be so well-organised that you don't need men on the posts because you don't let them get to the ball first. To be fair it hasn't been too much of a problem this season, whereas under SO'D we were constantly bemoaning how shaky we looked from set pieces. Can't have the best of both worlds, sadly.

Men on posts = they have the run of the penalty box.
Downside being a shot like today goes in.
I'd take me chances with the latter.

What helped the free kick taker today was it was far enough out to get it up and over the wall with even rob jones in it.if it had been 5 or 6 yard closer then he may have struggled getting it over the wall

I thought Duffy was the classiest player on the pitch.  Stood out from all his Scunny team-mates.  They won't keep hold of him if they go down, which looks likely on today's performance.  One of the strangest own goals I've seen - nobody near him and a nice side foot pass into the goal.
