If it takes 5 machines 5 minutes to make 5 widgets
How long will it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?
-
5 minutes
-
20 Minutes.
-
Labour machines or Tory machines?
-
Another light hearted thread politicised.
-
Alright,
I'll admit there is more to this question than ithere seems. It's not just O level maths.
Try to give the answer you thought of before reading additional the comments.
-
So does the widget pass through all 5 machines in its production or does each machine produce a widget on its own?
2 totally different answers for each of these scenarios
-
Each machine produces a widget on its own Stockton.
And with that question, I already have my answer from you.
-
Anymore for anymore.
I will admit on the face of it I thought 100 minutes.
Maybe nobody else will be prepared to admit it but only you can know what went through your mind initially.
That answer isn't a bad thing but you can learn from it.
-
Labour machines or Tory machines?
"obviously labour intensive work"
-
Alright,
I'll put you out of your misery.
It is a question psychologists ask to discover if someone is an analytic thinker or an intuitive thinker.
An intuitive thinker will answer 100 minutes to this question.
An analytic thinker will ask questions. Why is this important?
Well an analytic thinker will try to get to the truth rather than rely on gut feeling. Analytic thinkers need evidence.
And so, this proves the value of education. Educated people seek the truth.
There is a reason the Taliban want to keep people uneducat ed, particularly to keep women uneducated. This is it.
The lesson here kids is always ask questions.
-
100 minutes - but you already have 5 so 95 minutes

You are thinking analytically.

Education, education, education.
Someone said that once.
