Really hope things are being put in place for a swift replacement. We all know it’s inevitable.  Let’s not leave it too late into the season. And it needs to be someone who is currently not at the club.

I hope for once we just identify somebody who we want and go and get them.

Stop messing around with internal promotions of under qualified individuals and ridiculously long interview processes for out of work crap.

Go and get who we want!

This will be the 1st manager change since Copps new role. If we do the Job Centre application process now then that role is a waste of money

I don't think McSheffrey is going anywhere anytime soon.

Maybe if we're still struggling at Christmas.

The board aren't known for their swiftness in these things.

Either way, they'll place Coppinger in charge as, "he knows the club."

Other than the very last guy who was sacked six months into the job.

My comment was more about the long drawn out recruitment process to decide McSheffrey was the best of the lot, but I take your point.

I disagree I think they got rid of Wellens a lot sooner than I ever thought they would.

It’s not just the results it’s the performances. This is worse football than under Wellens and he is in a lower league with better players at his disposal (than Wellens had).

Well we could at least ask him if he'd be interested. People need sounding out now not after GM is gone

Personally, after the mess we have made of everything since McCann left, I was happy to take this season as a consolidation season in League Two, rebuild the squad, get younger lads into the first team, stop the constant turmoil, get us back to winning games and most of all, develop a style of football that we played consistently and cohesively.

We are literally as bad today as the first match that McSheffrey presided over. Nothing has changed. Just dire and clueless from back to front, balls being hammered over the top and majority of passes going misplaced or direct to opposition. This is unforgivable.

Wellens brought in ALL the players he wanted and fu**ed it up for McSheffrey so relegation was obvious . McSheffrey has brought in quality but been unlucky with injuries. The board should back him with a couple of out of contract defenders and bolster the squad .

Well of course I know that.
Just my thoughts that the board will not sack him.

Stop making excuses for him; all clubs have bad injury lists.

We're still crap when players come back from injury.

Most of the clubs in this league would kill for the squad depth we have. "Injuries" always gets wheeled out as an excuse at this club. It won't wash this season.

He has a good enough squad, even with the injuries we should be closer to the top.

Well this morning he should be advising the Chairman that the manager should be relieved of his duties, if he's any sense.

What’s surprising is that nobody is saying we should be running away with the league. Nigh on everyone expects us to be competitive this season, but more than anything expectation is that we put in some relatively regular performances with effort and structure. Something to watch and get behind. It’s a horror show watching us play at present. Very poor football.
