New investment and Dickov.
« on July 26, 2013, 03:36:31 pm by Copps is Magic »
Hypothetical question.

Do you think any new investment will have any implications for Dickov's position as manager?

I ask because football investors typically like to install their own regimes as it were. Will there be provisos in the deal to protect Dickov for a certain amount of time?

Depends what it actually is. If its a takeover (which I doubt) then possibly but if it is just investment then no

Sounds like JR carrying on as Chairman so he'll be making manager decisions.

There is so much confusion out there, everyone was under the impression it was simply 20 million as an investment, now just how long does ratifying that take, seemingly 2 joint owners in favour, presume Ryan one as he is pushing along with talks etc, the other I guess is Watson, with Bramall the thorn in the side.
The above I think gives Creedence to a complete Take over, as opposed to investment.

Think about it.
It has to be a takeover otherwise it wouldn't have taken so long.
If somebody was going to give you £20 million would you wait more than half a second before accepting?
From what I hear it's not twenty in one go but very substantial investment over a number of years...amounting to more than that figure.
My guess is Dickov will remain as manager providing he proves himself this season.

Like Lifelong says I believe PD position will be results, position in the league and proving he can manager expectations of the new owners this season.

No different to any other manager then. it is a results driven business I'm afraid.

how long has this been in the pipeline? maybe PD was appointed manager on the strength of this investment meaning BF had to move upstairs. :rtid:

Well then why discuss players?  That would be the manager's call.
