This is on the sheff u forum.

Looks like Whiteman is already sold as his #20 has gone to Lee Evans. If a player is out on loan, the number is still tied to him.

We do all announcements generally on Thursday so let’s hope.

For me playing Garrett and covering with Mason or whoever is our best option with Andrew coming back next season in the left back area.
He has already improved by playing a few games in the first team, and for me has not let anyone down. Given the chance we could have two good players for that position next season.
Getting in a loan cramps the options of playing the ones we have had for half a season because of the numbers allowed in each game, and we look like they are gelling better now than earlier in the season.
For the sake of 4 months I would leave the left back area as is, although it is perceived as a week area, we have coped for over half the season.
Whiteman permanently is a good move for the Blades and us,they have ambitions to play at a higher level than he is currently at, we get a young player who can develop over time, and knows our set up, the blades can always insert an option to buy, as well as a sell on clause, if he does develop into a top player, which he could do, but has to have the chance to.
Whether we get him or not, we cannot knock the clubs ambition for trying to get the deal through, and the directors for backing Fergies judgment on a young player.
not sure should consider a buy back option unless very high, knowing our luck we will sell him back for the same price

B.R. I was thinking more of the first option rather than a fixed fee.

His profile pic and banner would imply he is (or going to be) a Rovers player
