So on one hand your saying he isn’t going to get any better, only worse but then on the other hand have said he’s got better over the course of the last 3 seasons.... why could he not improve again going into next season??
Agreed Hound, and Butler was unsurprisingly the MOTM winner. Two vital players to our team and willing them to be shipped off is crazy.

If our budget allowed to keep him fine or if another role could become available but if we want to be a top of the table side he isn’t the answer in my opinion.

You can't argue that Butler is actually doing better than he was previously, and Coppinger is still performing at a consistent, high quality level and anyone saying he isn't as good as last season is either not watching him properly or has forgotten that we were in a lower division last year so he is bound to have a lower goals/assists ratio.

You said further up the thread that he’s improved on last season, so that surely shows you can improve in your mid 30’s
