Off Topic / Before deciding to vote for Tories or Labour...
« Last post by roverstillidie91 on Today at 11:24:18 am »
It might be worth people educating themselves in regards to 'ports' they are being branded as but they're freeports.

https://x.com/EuropeanPowell

Here are a few transcripts in regards to freeports..

It is suggested constituents contact their local MP's to query these freeports.

Here's why Labour are pro-Brexit, and is quietly backing Sunak's 12 deregulated Freeports and 74 SEZs.
Labour are being fundamentally dishonest, notice how they are referring to 'Freeports' which are privately owned as 'ports' which are publicly owned, like the ones in the EU.
Each Freeport sits within an SEZ, this is to ensure future expansion of private governance powers capture local towns and entire cities by liquidating all public services, this will force people to work in the private sector, and councils will appoint CEOs instead of Mayors.
Next up, Compulsory Purchase Orders apply to business, agricultural and residential properties as part of Gove's Levelling Up Bill.
The corporate coup over Scotland has already been signed off by
@_KateForbes
 of SNP with Sunak and Shanker Singham (the brains behind Brexit)

Patently not true.
Labour are fully committed to  Sunak's 12 deregulated Freeports and 74 Special Economic Zones (SEZs).
Each SEZ receives £180 million in State Aid (public money) x 74 = £11,84 billion.
Teesside Freeport has received £560 million of taxpayers money, 90% of the profits going to the private sector.
Sunak's free zones are tax-exempt for 10 years and licensed for a quarter of a century.
Labour continue to be sitting members of a nationwide Freeports/SEZ consortia, none of this is mentioned by them or the MSM.
Q - Why so many Freeports and SEZs?
A- Because Thatchers SEZs were restricted by EU rules on State Aid, Brexit turbocharges them, while also sabotaging rejoining the EU. The rules are here set out by the EU Commission
https://europarl.europa.eu/RegData/etudes/BRIE/2020/646164/EPRS_BRI(2020)646164_EN.pdf
If you vote for Labour, you are voting for your communities, your public services, your councils, and public assets to be privatised and sold off to private equity. This is all down to Brexit.

The UK is undergoing a Silent Coup, where corporations have been invited by the Govt to privatise entire regions the length and breadth of Britain. This coup is fully backed by
@UKLabour
 who are members of the Freeports consortia in England, Scotland, and Wales. Brexit is being forced to work under WTO rules. Rejoining the EU has been sabotaged for generations, do you recall seeing any mention of Freeports and SEZs being part of the Leave Campaign?  Understand that collective sovereignty, your rights, your land, your councils, your public services, your homes are being replaced and commodified by corporate sovereignty. Sovcorps. Zone fever is here.
Please read 'Silent Coup - How Corporations Overthrew Democracy' by
@kennardmatt
 and
@ClaireProvost

it is a chilling expose of the malign intentions of deregulated SEZs in the hands of Govt's working together with corporations to privatise entire countries.

Hayter was a great header of a ball. One of the best I've seen.

We were talking about big players who were rubbish in the air the other week! Hayter was the opposite.

Remember this one from the edge of the box? Ridiculous header.

What would help solve the current situation is growth, growth and growth, is there any? It's hard to fathom that blame appears to falling on labour the opposition having yet to win office.

In football terms (to make it easier for some) it would be like fielding a team without a striker and we all know how that turns out.

Labour has set out a plan for growth and the current government wants or wanted to cut taxes.

Some wanted to have their cake and eat it too.
Will Labour re-introduce the top rate of tax and stop the burden being on the poorest?

That may help.

Why don't you have a look at labour's strategy/policies and use it as a base for discussion instead plucking wishes out of thin air.
I have seen enough of Labour which suggests to me that nothing will change when they are in so I don't wish to check out their strategy or policies.

It is the redistribution of wealth from the poorest to the rich.

He will lie his way in and promise things and go back on them.

It is easy being in opposition just wait until he is PM and see how unpopular he will be.
