Title: A mention for Middleton
Post by: Haxey-Hood-DRFC on February 18, 2017, 08:02:52 pm
Gary McSheffrey and Alfie May both deserved the praise they've received for their late show, but I thought Harry M looked very composed and assured. Did some nice simple stuff well. He's an improved player this season and an asset to the squad.

Spot on there, Harry Middleton did a very good job today when he came on

He did very well and let nobody down.
He also seems to be maturing now.

Seemed to get hold of midfield at a point where they were leading and looking to take charge. Great performance from all three subs but Middleton really impressed.

Credit to DF too for getting the substitutions right today.
When he brought GMac on it effectively left us with just Butler and Alcock at the back.
A brave decision but it turned out well enough.

Thought he would have brought May on instead of Middleton and play 433 then bring Middleton or Gary Mac on 2nd

But worked out ok in the end shame Gary Mac could score or square it to May who was busting a gut to get in the area for it
