Signed for Northampton.
-
Decent move, they were paying decent money at one point. Probably still are.
-
"Finally a huge thank you for the support the fans have given over the rollercoaster last three season for the team and I. I have some amazing memories thanks to them and their song for me is definitely the best song I have heard fans sing about me. Thank you."
-
I’m sure that my wife was responsible for your groin injuries.

As Northampton are about to become my local team, perhaps I should go along and get it going again for him. Standing there in my hoops, of course.

and Maybe your kids lol

I'm pleased Willo has got fixed up so soon, this could be a good move for him.
Thanks Andy, and all the best with your new challenge.
-
Good move for him. No doubt he can score goals, just need a bit of a confidence booster
-
Best wishes to Andy, I always liked him and think he should have been given more opportunity this season by DF.
Maybe we wouldn’t have struggled to score like we did.
-
To be fair hound he’s been injured most of it

There was a run of games when he was available though, especially during the run in, when he was stuck on the bench.
-
Best wishes to him. Good move all round I think.
-
Yeah, best wishes to him, liked him when he first came, for whatever reason,he eventually struggled and ended up out of favour.Hope he can get a run in their first team.
-
Yeah it was strange - DF had obviously decided he wasn’t part of the future so didn’t play him and started using him
-
I sat with Williams and Mandeville at a sponsors meeting and Williams is a really nice guy and mature player. I wish him all the best and I hope he is not a stifled as he was at Rovers having to play Fergie's style.
-
Good luck to him. Hope he does well with the Cobblers.
My brother can keep an eye on his progress as he lives in Northampton.
-
Yes, good luck to him. Genuine guy. Perhaps he got too much stick for wearing his heart on his sleeve. When Marquis shows his frustration, it's more accepted but Williams at times was labelled a drama queen which was very harsh. He also was very unlucky with injuries, especially when being crocked badly in the very last second of the game a season ago.
-
In fairness, Marquis doesn't throw his arms around chucking a paddy when he could get on with it and potentially get on the end of a rebound. I rate Williams but he clearly doesn't fit the system anymore and Ferguson only kept him because we couldn't get rid a year ago. It's a shame it turned out the way it did here for him but if you're not taking chances - and he had a few glaring ones to keep us up two years back - you're not going to stay around.
-
His goals per start ratio was about the same as Marquis for us.
-
Unfortunately his physical challenges per start ratio was about the same as mine.
-
Goals are a precious commodity in football.
-
Not been the same since he got crocked in the 95th minute vs Barnet having scored the winner a minute or two before..
-
The few times I saw him play I always thought he looked like a good player and I believe he is unfortunate not to have had a better run of luck with DRFC. I predict he will have a great season with the Cobblers.
-
He started pretty good with us, at the end he was rubbish, looking totally disinterested & let us say not too keen to put in a challenge, I for one couldn't wait for us to get rid. Good luck to him like.
-
Good player. I think he's probably still good enough for this league but needed a change of scenery after DF tried to get rid last year, plus his misfortune with injuries.
Got unnecessary levels of stick from our fans IMO who sometimes can't see a quality player if one is smacking them in the face. Same treatment as David Cotterill who got panned for not charging around the pitch and throwing himself into challenges, even though he was clearly one of our most effective and productive players when he played.

Big Williams fan hope he does well, seems a top bloke too...good luck Andy
-
He’s at the right club , cobblers
-
How would you know Mick you don't go to Rovers games.
-
The absolutely cynical foul on him at Wigan ( one of the worst of the season going unpunished) did him no favours. He was out for the period when he would have, and should have had the chance to impress.
Not a lot of luck when it comes to injuries, picked up two on two seasons with bad intentional tackles did for him.
