Blimey - used to be a mate of his back in school days in Balby. Must have been quite young.  RIP

Name Primo does not mean anything to me. Was he known by another name?

Balby lad was always in the Winning Post - sure he ran a Rovers bus for a while.
Didn’t know about his accident at BPA
Without speaking ill of the dead he was a shocking ref - I fell foul of some of his “mistakes” - I’d still be arguing with him at work on the Monday but he was always sure he was right

R.I.P. Primo. I seem to remember he was also the Kitman for the Dons and actually played for their reserves away somewhere as they were short and he got a right going over by the opposition when they found out he wasn’t a usual player

Fond memories of him getting the scores wrong on the scoreboard at Tattersfield, entertaining the crowd.
Not so fond memories of getting totally clattered in the penalty area but managing to stay on my feet uable to get a shot off, stonewall penalty, referee Primo telling me  that "if you'd dived, I'd have given you a penalty young en".

RIP Primo, a real character!

I could not believe they used that word. I didn’t even know it was a real word.

RIP Primo.  Used to drink with him in the Winner and go on his buses when he ran them.  Cambridge and Burnley away in the back of a Luton van for Tuesday night games were classics.  The Van in question was actualy driven by The Vicar.  2 good ones lost too soon.
