Scotland manager Steve Clarke is set to start the process of switching Steven Caulker’s elegibility from England to Scotland as he desperately seeks options at centre-half.

Clarke has been alerted to Caulker’s desire to play for Scotland despite the former Tottenham and Liverpool defender having played – and scored – for England against Sweden in 2012.

since Doncaster as we all know is technically still part of Scotland "opportunity knocks" for Doncaster born players

update
does any one remember was it in the 80's when they used to say "if you had ever drunk a pint of Guiness you could play for Ireland"

Clarkee could adapt that line for if you had ever drunk "Scots whiskey" you can play for Scotland .....

next he''' be getting players from "Nova Scotia" Canada to play for Scotland -- with "swopsis" of countries that is one reason I never watch International football
