Doncaster Rovers v Sheffield United
« on March 19, 2010, 04:59:44 pm by VivaRovers »
A week ago I decided I was going to give this game a miss to save some much needed funds... At about 10pm Tuesday night I decided the water bill could probably wait until a second reminder and I can feasibly live off a giant bag of pasta 'til payday. It's suddenly a very big game. Match preview for it is now up on Viva Rovers

Those who can't wait til kick-off can see Doncaster Rovers and Sheffield United play in a less athletic form on Saturday morning as long running fans' team the Donny R'sonists take on the Sheffield InterBlades. Its a 10:30am kick-off at Rossington All Saints School (formerly the Comp) for those who've run out of drying paint to stare at.

I don't like to do this predictions business, but I'm going for a 1-0 win with James Hayter scoring the only goal.

Another game of contrasting styles and I'm sure it will be fascinating to see who comes out on top.

Blades ar at their best with wingers in full flow. It's no coincidence that most of their goals come from crosses in to the box. This is an area that I think we can be weak, so it is imperitive we stop the crosses.

If we can stop the supply than I think we can move the ball forward. We need to do it at pace to keep their centre halves from getting comfortable.

First goal is really imprtant, as with any match, but hopefully we will be able to break them down and get that vital goal.

Rovers 2 Blades (consolation) 1

1-1 Full time. A good performance , well defended (apart from the goal), but we paid for not taking our chances.

Bring on the Barcodes !
