Aye - but not the whole of the ball over the whole of the line.

I didn't think that all of the ball was over the line. I am in Spain though so having to rely on Sky. Inconclusive for me.

Not for me but then we didn’t get a pen when Marquis was bundled over in the first half.

Def over, Freeze frame on sky shows it clearly. However not given so a bonus, unlike 2 of 3 penalty shouts DRFC had,

Someone at halftime showed me a screen shot he had been sent,Lawlors upper body was over the line and the ball was under his arm.Looked like a goal to me.

Think that is the one I’ve seen 1951 but Woods should have buried it
Noticed Lawlor got booked at the end

Yes, but only just

Thanks, looked tight from a good run but impossible to tell from behind the goal.

Another day, different officials we might have had 3 pens, a goal against, Copps goal (was off but close) and a few more yellow cards - Marquis, Houghton, and about 3 for Rotherham including one in the first 5 minutes. I thought they were prepared to be more physical and spoiling when 'necessary'.

Not an unfair result, but gut-wrenching to concede so late when we had IMHO defended pretty well.

Just another Deby game then  :scarf:

Was convinced it was over at the time because Lawlor was over the line, however having watched it back about 500 times this point I don't think you can say the whole of the ball was over the line.

Given the way the ref seemed to be going I'm pretty stunned he didn't give it. Was the one contentious decision that seemed to go our way.

Ah the technology debate should be rearing its head again SOON !

It is high time it (goal line technology at the very least) should be across all 4 Divisions. The idea of the game is to score - first and foremost - and when a Team does it SHOULD count and the game should use whatever Technology is needed. The cost will be an issue for sure but there would be no debates on was it in or not

It took Lampards goal v Germany to finally finally bring in GLT - but there is no excuse for it NOT to be available for all Clubs

I have said previously Rotherham benefited massively one Season when playing the Champions elect of the Second Tier WBA. WBA scored in the 90th minute - it was in - everyone knew but the Ref did not give it.

So Rotherham drew (1-1) I think it was and the point was enough to save them and relegate Crewe Alex Its just not fair and needs to be SORTED
