According to Fergie, he's back with us for his re-habillitation. Fergie hopes he will be available for the last 6 games, possibly from April 14th.

Wonder why he has chose to be with us rather than his parent club.

Come on mate - he had the choice of being in Lancashire or Yorkshire!   ;-)

I think Rovers and Burnley will have decided that; after all, he is signed on with us until the end of the season.

I hope Fergie sees the merit of having a dominating centre back at the heart of our defence - I like Anderson, he’s no Franco Baresi but heads it, kicks it & clears his lines

I would like to see him signed on to be with us next season.

Me too. I think he could become a fans favourite. We could question whether he's of the calibre to step up a level but, he's very capable at this level where we are, and will hopefully stay for at least another season.

We won League 1 with Jones and McCombe as our centre back pairing. Anderson is that kind of defender; good height, and no nonsense. I think we need that type of defender to get out of this league. We're fortunate that we have 6 centre backs signed on at the moment, if we include Shane Blaney. Will Fergie risk only having 3 senior centre backs again next season, after the recent injury crisis, or will he want more? Thoughts anyone?

Or to put that another way we have Butler and Wright for next season, along with the young Blaney and also McCullough who can fill in.

How many of Baudry, Anderson and Boyle do we want to sign, or anyone else, and what are people's preferences?

I'll start - for me maybe Baudry and Anderson.

I don't know if you saw both games, Grainge, but Tom was excellent against both Fleetwood and Rotherham.

He is a fairly experienced CB with a PL club so he must have considerable ability.

He's never played a league game for Burnley to be fair, and his best experience so far has come playing for Chesterfield at this level last season. They were awful last year so I wouldn't say he's proven himself to be League One standard yet. I'm not taking away from his very good performances for us prior to his injury mind, and believe he could be an asset worth signing permanently if he makes a good comeback in a few weeks.

If he is available I would sign him, but based on his last few signings I guess the 1st question DF might ask him is can you play left midfield?

You really need four CBs. We managed with Butler, Baudry and Wright plus Alcock who can play there and got caught out. If Alcock moves on I think we might be interested in Anderson permanently.
