His 38 goals for the club over the last two seasons (with still 9 games to go) is the highest for the club over two consecutive seasons since Peter Kitchen (51) and Brendan O'Callaghan (48) in 1975-76 and 1976-77.
Northampton and Oxford both got promotion by signing on loan players that were too good for this divisionand now I remember thinking Marquis was far too good for the 4th divisionon that basis I have to admit THAT IS ONE HELL OF A SIGNING THANK GOODNESS FOR BILLY SHARP I SAY !!!because the blades new manager can't really get rid of Sharpe (he has made him captain )because if sharpe wasn't there I feel certain Marquis would have followed the x Northampton manager to sheff united
Dutch Uncle, how many games has Simon Grayson been in charge against us and what's his win/loss figures.

I was wondering last night about the very issue of when we last had a striker score more than Marquis over 2 seasons. Thanks for the info.In terms of league goals for us, since we returned to the FL, Marquis now sits 3rd I think (assuming Soccerbase.com is correct).Coppinger: 56Sharp: 44Marquis: 37Heffernan: 35Hayter: 33Green: 31Brown: 29McIndoe: 28Blundell: 27Williams: 23Fortune-West: 19Tyson: 18Price: 17Stock: 17

The figures I have (all comps in Brackets):Coppinger 56 (65)Sharp 44 (45)Marquis 37 (38)Heffernan 36 (54)Hayter 33 (39)Brown 29 (33)McIndoe 28 (35)Blundell 27 (31)Green 25 (27) (I think your figure may include Conference)The others seem right but you have forgotten the wonderfully gifted in training Lewis Guy with 18 (24), and Tommy Rowe 18 (23)
Gaz, that’s a big difference to Dutch Uncles tally, but it’s more like the one that I had expected.
