Tommy Rowe

Great result for the Rovers, a win on Monday and we should ensure our league one status. Exactly why Tommy Rowe should not be played at full back. I accept he’s not been at his best lately, but on his day he is a game changer.

Tommy is by far our best player when played in his best position.

Him, Copps and Beestin are the most creative.

Fergie wanted competition for Copps position next season? He already has that player, IF we get another left sided midfielder.

That's why we should try a 4-2-3-1 formation now and again!

Agreed, no doubt some supporters would say that “one up front” is negative.
Depends on the circumstances and the opponents I would say.
Monday might be a good time for that against Blackburn.

I don't think many would question his ability, but sometimes he can be a lazy chuff. There's been times when we needed our big game players and he's gone missing. He seems to turn it on and off when he feels like it.

He played left back because the manager gave the experienced player a job to do for the benefit of the team. End of.

Tommy Rowe needs to be playing further forward than he has of late.
Proof yesterday 2 goals. Match winner.
A word for Copps yesterday. Almost a flawless display. Vintage Copps.
Any one who thinks he is finished is being very very foolish.
Made Some Blackpool players look very silly.
Baudry, Wright and McCullough also outstanding.

Aye. Absolutely vintage Coppinger yesterday. The number of times he feinted to play a pass then ghosted past the player on the other side. It’s a joy to watch. So simple you can’t understand why every player can’t do it. But you can only do it if your footballing brain is working 50% quicker than every other player on the pitch.

The legs and lungs might not be what they were but his brain is getting quicker every year.

Houghton did something similar late on yesterday. Might even have been in the move that led to the free kick for the second goal. We moved the ball out from left to right. Blackpool players were scampering to cover Blair down the right wing. Then he suddenly checked inside and let three Blackpool players run out wide, leaving a huge hole down the inside-right channel for him to slip a pass into. Glorious to watch. When we move the ball quickly then apply brains like that, we take some stopping at this level.

I said that earlier in the season. Difference between this year and last is it's so f**king ponderous and pedestrian at times it's an absolute dream to defend against us. When they crank up the pace teams can't live with us.
