Title: Scunthorpe MOM
Post by: bobjimwilly on May 03, 2015, 03:57:05 pm
This is the last vote of the season, so make yours count! Coppinger, Furman and Forrester are all still in with a chance of winning the Viking Chat Player of the Year 2014/15. Voting closes on Wednesday.

Tricky what with Tyson getting a hat-trick, but for me Forrester edged it, a shame he couldn't bag one himself.

To be fair - tyson's hat trick was two penos scored and a header from 3 yards into an unguarded net following great work by bennett - take nowt away from nathan as they still needed finishing! A guy scoring a hat trick shouldn't necessarily make him mom! Thought forrester and evina both had good games as well as tyson! Not sure who to vote for! For the right reasons for a change! Lol

Forrester for me, he created everything Tyson scored.

Did anyone else notice how Harry held his hands in a prayer position, asking if he could take the first pen and then also having the ball taken off him for the second one.

Forrester by a street but I thought Furman and Evina were excellent as well.
Furman has been our best player since Keegan's injury and Evina has come on a bundle since getting back into the team.

Tyson takes the penalties if he's playing.  Remember Sheff Utd?  We had not long conceded a pantomime goal and at 3-1 Scunthorpe were in the game.  Tyson's first pen secured the 3 points, and his second was for a hat trick.

I saw him with the first one but he didn't argue as such, just seemed to want to take it.

He didnt argue at all, that is correct but it was just funny the way he held his hands and pleaded with Tyson.
He did also ask if he could have the second one too but the ball was taken from him.
It was a shame for him really because he probably would have scored when he was hacked down for the second pen after a brilliant run.

Harry showed a level of maturity by letting Tyson take both penalties, long may it continue.

One of the reasons I picked Tyson as MotM was this - early in the game Scunthorpe had a corner (or free kick?) which was well cleared by Tyson, and in the breakaway he caught up with our break to be in a shooting position on the edge of their box.  That typified his attitude and his play, not just on Sunday but all season.

Very close call for HF though - to me he had 4 "assists", the 2 penalties and the runs leading to our first 2 goals although those were also helped with Bennett's deliveries.

I remember that run IDM and commented on it to my mate at the game.
Very similar to the one earlier in the season after Furman cleared off the line and Tyson ran the length of the pitch to set up a goal for Bennett.
He certainly leads by example.
