signed for French side Lorient on loan from Spurs.

Could he still do a job?

And what of Robert, who we loaned from the Ligue 1 club?

I always rated Ryan Mason.  Its a shame he got that injury in the League Cup last season against Tranmere which kept him out for a bit.  Thought he would have played a key role for us last season.

Since he went back to Spurs though I've not heard much about him, until the above post

I dont think he would have come.  Deano loved him as a player but knew he couldnt play him.  Not enough steel for the team he needed to put out.  So, he went back.

Met his family on holiday whilst he was with us. He wanted to sign for a team near London and at that time Watford was apparently his favourite option but they could not afford him.  Can't imagine how a move to France suits him but guess he has to do what is best for his career.

Aye, very true Dave.  He wasnt going to get a game for Spurs, and I feared he was going to end up like JET, wasting his talent in an average side.  France is a different kind of challenge, but it should suit him.  The technically better players are loved there and he certainly has bags of that attribute.

I agree and Lorient is as good as anywhere to kick start your career again .....he has bags of potential.
