Rowe

Time for him to play CM for us. Rowe, Close & Galbraith/Bostock would be much better IMO.

The problem with that idea is...who plays left back? Horton is the only choice and at times he doesn't look ready. He has been good in spells but it's a lot of responsibility for a young player like that.

Agreed but we seem to be a club that puts faith in other clubs youth players and not our own.

I do agree with though CR, we would obviously be more threatening in going forward with Rowe in midfield.

In my opinion, our powder puff midfield needs shoring up, time to go old school 4-4-2, 4-3-3 is not working and our midfield are being bullied

I think we could do worse than try 3-5-2: Williams, Olowu and Knoyle at the back, Rowe, Smith, Bostock, Close, Seaman/Galbraith in the midfield, Hiwula and Dodoo up front.

What would that do differently? We pretty much play 4-2-3-1 which becomes a 4-4-1-1 without the ball anyway.

But then you're losing Knoyles main ability as an attacker.

True, but today he didn't get past the half way line.

A compromise I guess until we get Tom or Cam back. Then, yes, push him up and drop Seaman/Galbraith.

Playing a 3 needs a lot of organisation which we don’t seem to have at the moment. Lack of experience heads and do we say coaching yet?

Agree with Filo when things are looking tight 442 is tried and tested every player grows up with it and knows the roles, or should.

Rowe left midfield, Seaman right and then Close and another in the centre with Hiwula and Dodoo up top.

Also agree with CR we have no probs playing another clubs player who isn’t ready but maybe one day. Why not our own? Obviously better if we had players who are ready but we are where we are.

Horton has had as many games where he looked decent as poor IMO. Play Rowe in front of him to help him through games he should come on no end

Idd try Seaman at left back. We have to start playing Rowe further forward
